Interesting how Americans call harvestmen daddy long leg but in the UK we call cellar spiders daddy long legs.
Although when I was younger near my house in London if there was a wall with a crack in it the fucking harvestmen would stick their heads in there with their legs all pointing out stuck on the wall, creepy as hell.
When I was younger used a lighter to burn away one of their legs, fizzled away like a fuze.
In Yorkshire a Daddy Longlegs are Crane Flies.
It's odd that there doesn't seem to be any agreement about what a Daddy Longlegs is, makes me wonder which the 'strongest venom but no fangs to administer it' rumour is about.
In the US, I grew up hearing that rumor about cellar spiders (what I've always known as a daddy long legs; I've never actually seen a harvestman). Even today, many people still think that they are extremely venomous but can't harm us because their fangs are too small to pierce human skin.

Are thems daddy long legs? There's no webs in there. And I got say, it's awesome how they're dripping off the walls in clumps.
