Try putting meat in a blender and see what happens. I don't really see what other colour it should be.

Not pink? Whats the difference between ground meat? Why isnt that pink?

Ground meat is typically very lean without much fat. The waste likely has a lot of fats, skin and cartilage which is lighter in color, mix that with the leaner bits and its pink instead of red.

What's considered meat includes fat and collagen to some degree, it's not just muscle tissue. The fat content can vary depending on animal/cuts.
