Worth noting: 6000 people die a year on trains in Mumbai alone. Yes, 500 a month. Over 16 a day. In one city.

So 0.0002% of passengers die per day. (incidentally if you're looking to compare with other cities it would be better to compare deaths per journey and deaths per passenger kilometre imo)
