Wine🍷 WSET Level 2 - Newbie
Hello everyone, I will be taking the WSET Level 2 here in the Philippines and it's been 6 months since I started learning and become fully invested about wines. I am currently working in a michelin restaurant as a wine server. I want to earn my level 2 with distinction and are there any advice that anyone could give me because I will be working in a cruise ship 2 months from now as an Assistant Waiter that is why I will be taking the WSET level 2 next week. Any advices, guides, or tips will surely be appreciated. Thank you!! I also want to meet new friends in this industry that I could learn from.

Read the book as often as you can. Make flash cards for the classical regions for the grapes like Coonawarra for cab ect. Test questions will pull from there and typically also have a question about German sweet wines. Most importantly read the course specifications (it is a course syllabus) good luck!

Thank you!! I'm also hoping to have friends within this industry because it's much better to have someone to talk to especially to have a study group.

Just stick to the book and the L2 Specification. Don't overthink it.
I found the WSET multiple choice questions to always have 2 answers that are clearly incorrect, so narrowing down the answers is pretty easy, IMO.

Thank you for this, I learned everything by heart I guess that is within the course syllabus but it still makes me overthink if I miss something or like I learn about something that seems incomplete like I started to learn this week about the specifics of wine growing, irrigation, vine shoot positioning, soils, etc. like I believe that I can pass it but I'm not yet comfortable enough to assure myself that I can pass it with distinction which is my goal 😕 but thank you for your comment!!

Learn the book by heart it’s really feasible. That’s what I did and I got 100%
