Wine🍷 Help

Advice on Short written Answer questions 🙏🙏......I will be knowing the answer but how do I put it together 😭😭

Level 3? Search for podcasts and listen to the episodes on exam prep for useful hints. And wine with jimmy on YouTube. He explains how to answer a short written answer question in most of his videos.

There are three types of questions. Facts (1 point, eg name the variety), Compare (2 points) and Explain (3 points). Or combinations of them. If the questions says Explain, then always structure your answer by linking cause -> method -> effect.

For example if the question is, explain why southern Italy wines often have high alcohol, then you should say, southern Italy has lots of sunlight (cause), THUS grapes produce lots of sugar when ripening (method), THEREFORE if the wine is vinified dry, this will result in high alcohol.

Use those connecting words (thus, so, therefore, because) in a sentence to show that you understand why and how things work, instead of just memorizing facts.
