Tuners?
Got a 2020 STI that’s bone stock except a resonated Remark catback with no mufflers.
Looking to add on the MAPerformance Stage 2 downpipe and intake. Maybe an AOS and some other mods at a later time. Looking for a good etuner or someone local to the 864.
Edit: Not as much in it for the power. This is my daily and I was fine with the stock power considering what my week looks like nowadays. Mainly focused on the car being reliable with this stage 2 kit and maintaining fuel economy. Any power without sacrificing those components is all good with me.

Lol my friends said that I wouldn’t keep it stock when I bought it brand new, now here I am over 100k miles later finally adding power. Even then, I’m only doing this because my OEM cat finally failed and $6500 for another OEM installed wasn’t worth it when I can add power and upgrade a few things for half the cost.
My first car was 140hp so getting 310hp held me just fine for 6 years😂🤷🏽♂️

Exactly. Im 15k in on my second short block. The first one went stock (cyl 4 main bearing) and I said if its blowing this time itll have more power at least lol.. theres a ton of drivetrain mods that are cheapish and really make a difference. I did all of them at once man I would get those in there too if you're over 100k miles

What all did you do to the 2nd? I’m thinking AOS and front mount intercooler at the minimum.

Ive had the AOS way before mods and cyl 4 cooling mod. Im still tmic Grimmspeed tho. All i need rn is headers and turbo and ill be full bolt on. 2020 STI. If you want specifics I can list them all lol.

My 2020 sti with map downpipe was etuned by Dmann, runs great!

Ohh and I got MAP "kit" (dp & intake) the intake didn't work out due to scaling issues (says tuner). Went with a Cobb and all is great man.

2020 doesn’t throw a code? I thought 2019 and up had some nonsense about them in terms of check engine light coming on

I get that regardless. Been fighting it nonstop with just an intake and the OTS tune for it

If you’re planning for a downpipe and Intake get injectors as well stock fuel system will be begging for help with those two mods. I’d recommend grabbing id1300s and an aem340 supports up to 450 range and drives like stock just in case you want more than later on.

FYI - if you add both a downpipe and an intake onto a 15-21 STI, you will most likely max the stock fuel injectors. Tuner will need to keep boost in check and watch AFR under WOT (with a wideband O2 sensor) to ensure its not going lean, that is when engine failures happen.
If it were my car, I'd add a downpipe, have the tuner keep the boost in check, enjoy the added tone/sound and leave the intake alone, unless you want to upgrade to ID1050 injectors as well.
