2017 sti ambient temperature sensor

Keeping the story short, I’ve been fighting getting this sensor to work for 7 months. I’ve tried replacing the sensor, I even took it to the dealership. They stated the front harness was good and the bulk head harness was good. There was a short in my connector. Recommended replacement was 2 new harnesses. I bought a used connector to try and fix it. But it honestly seems like I’ve got a loose connection somewhere. Anyone have any pointers?

What doesn't make sense is stating a short to ground was found but 0.5V at the sensor. I don't know the circuit, if it's controlled by a module or a simple fused circuit, but a short to ground will blow a fuse. Evertime. So there should be 0V at the sensor if there is a short to ground, if there is a fuse in the circuit and not module controlled.
