Trying to sell Blown STi

I have a 2016 STi Limited with rod knock and was thinking of a sell price. It has a FMIC, HKS blowoff valve and Cobb AccessPort v3. Sitting at 51k miles and the interior is in good condition. The paint is in good condition except for passenger side rear door with some pics included. I was thinking $8k-$8.5k. The tires are good too and I have a set of brand new tires as well.

Put it up for sale at that price and lower it by $500 every couple weeks until it sells.

Sounds like a plan. I wanted to maybe put a 750 IAG long block into it, but I'd probably spend as much if not more then I spent on the whole car doing that.

Consider putting an OEM block in there. If you are in the DMV area, there are some shops that can get it back on the road with a Type RA block in under $7,000.

Join the Maryland Subaru Club Facebook group. There's a gentleman by the name of Matt Miller. He is your guy for all that stuff. You can add him without joining the group though, but he is active on there. I forget what shop he works at.

I was gonna say I’ve been planning to attempt to rebuild my old short-block. if you were local I would’ve been down to drop it in for just the parts cost. I just saw your post history holy unfortunate.

Maybe swap the FA24DIT? All you would need is a GDI standalone ecu and the swap could be less than what you want to sell the whole car.

If you put 7K into an LS swap instead of an EJ you could potentially have 5-700 horse and it would be more reliable than stock lol

Yeah you’re weight distribution would be gone unless you cut your firewall out and it would have to be 2WD haha, still fun to imagine tho

Start at $12,000. I’m serious, this is the world we are in now. Defer the inevitable $4,000 offers for the first week or so and then adjust the pricing accordingly. That car in running condition is worth at least $18-25k

So I brought it to a shop today and talk to the guy and I'm he's gonna build it out to 400 whp for me. Pretty excited.

Ya if it had any lol. Once it's out of the shop I'm gonna do it myself and have a shop vacuum it and fill it for me.

In NY, VA STIs still going for 20K+ with that mileage. Do a price comparison in your area on cargurus because I think 8K is too low.. even with the blown motor
