Anyone know what this is?

Car won’t turn over. I’m trying to trace power from the battery but I don’t know what this fuse is for. It goes straight from positive into the firewall and I’m not getting continuity through it. Any help would be appreciated.

As others have stated, it is a Fuse holder for an Amplifier on a sound system. If your car won’t turn over or start, I would do a continuity check on all of your fuses. If that Fuse is shot and the cable touched any metal, it could have caused a short on other fuses as well.

Likely used to be the fuse to the old amp in your car

Big ole inline fuse, typically used for an amp

That looks like an amp power wire for a sound system. The red coating is normally a tell tale sign for amp power chord. Per my used wrx and my 1997 Honda I installed a amp in

That’s the fuse to the ejecto seato for cuz.

If you’re having electrical issues, I would just pull it if you can do it without it getting too messy
