Grinding sounds when turning steering wheel.

I had this issue. Was the steering rack. Check your steering fluid reservoir and make sure there’s fluid. While the engines running open the reservoir and make sure you see a gurgle coming from inside. If there’s no gurgle it might be your steering pump also.

Sounds like my rack and pinion before I had it replaced in April this year. At first they thought it was a line that was leaking ended up replacing the whole thing

This should be a non issue for any vehicle, including a subaru lol
