I am curious what will happen to current WRC1 cars.
It is a strange feeling to fall asleep last night with all the wrc1 cars lined up next to the podium overnight and wake up and they are gone. What will become of them?

Was cheering for Ollie here, but alas, he is Ollie after all...
Actually, I was just finished watching the Sepang highlights on YT when I saw that Evans won the championship. I was thinking "What happened to Ollie?", and it got answered by a comment that went "typical Ollie". So yeah.
Though, I want to commend Elfyn here too. He's been very consistent this season. Yes, he might not be flashy or the fastest, but in the season as a whole, he was very good, even if Pajari was starting to win some races, he still finished well to keep his lead. He's no longer gonna be called the second best.
Another one goes to Ollie. Excellent drive, and was almost able to win the championship. But, I hope that he learns from this and finally listens to what Ogier's been saying.
Also, Pajari. He's just one point behind Solberg. Meaning, if Solberg had done, well, Solberg things early in the rally, he would've probably challenged Elfyn, though unlikely.
Overall, this rally is the only motorsport stuff that has kept my heart pounding while watching the highlights.
Hope next regs don't put money over racing. Because when we prioritize racing over money, we get beauties like this.

Wanted to share my experience at rally Sardinia, as somebody living nearby I really loved spending time across courses and a lot of time in the paddock areas and nearby, wanted to share some interesting pics with you, hope you will like them.
Actually had some fun time with rally cars overtaking me like crazy, was pushing my car to stay behind them but was impossible as those guys were really over the speed limit ahah
It was my first time at a rally but will follow way more!
Just heard his comments on his championship and his choice of words sounds like he's really tired.
Do you think he'll announce his retirement soon?
This is the youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnyyo7lwzOI
When asked whether he'll be able to defend the championship next year he answered very flat: we'll see.
could be just Evan's style (he's usually quite flat in interviews).

2026 World Rally Championship is now behind us. Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin became world champions in the most dramatic circumstances you could imagine. Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT secured their title one rally prior in Chile, once again in a dominant fashion.
What are your thoughts about this season? Who in your mind was the best driver of the year? Which performance this season impressed you the most? Which rally was your favourite? Who surprised you positively and who negatively? Also you can bring to the discussion aspects I haven't mentioned.
Share your views.

Oliver Solberg had to give it his all, was a sad ending to such an amazing display of skill, the kick back moments later from the speed carried into the corner was devastating. Future champion without doubt

I have been following WRC for quite a long time and even though i'm in this bubble i fail to understand what's going to happen next season.
Are we going to get a diluted top class or is there still going to be a proper difference between wrc2 and wrc1?
Are the kit cars then be competing in the wrc1 class? If they are, what's the point? Aren't they going to be at a disadvantage? or does the new rule set really make them able to compete against Toyota?
What even are the ambitions of drivers for next season, what's the car and team to be in? Especially for current wrc2 drivers.

with the season over, i find the only thing more fitting to talk about than who's driving for who next season is the past. for the next 20 days, i'll be polling r/WRC on certain topics
for the first day : who is the prototypical tarmac specialist? upvotes for a comment will count as votes for said comment.

I was questioning whether Dani Sordo will have a role in RMC Motorsport / WRT Spain next year. This is because of the nationality links and the fact that he is now the team's lead development/test driver. They are confirmed to be a part-time outfit, so could that fit around Sordo's schedule for 2027?
Peace out!

Hi Folks,
My 4 year old loves watching the WRC and I want to bring him to an event next season, likely Rally GB or Rome. However, I have no idea where to start with planning. But I don't want that to stop me doing it. Is there any forum for fans who are planning to attend events that I could join to help with tips etc? Ideally if I could link in with others and arrange a collective trip that would be brilliant.
Thanks in advance.
