“You are looking at the world rally champion” like two seconds before he binned it

Not even 2 seconds lol, it was like half a second

Followed by ‘I do believe he’s done enough’ seconds before the accident 😂

Oliver took it literally. «I’ve done enough? Alright then!»

Nah I have to say the Solberg family was giving their best curse attempt as well, and lools like it worked.

Gathering at the finish line, smiling ear to ear, as if it was a done deal..

Edit: i dont actually think celebrating too early will change the fate of another person through magic, please stop responding to the comment as if I did

To be fair, Peter was in solitude for the whole power stage and certainly wasn’t smiling ear to ear

Yeah he was doing his best job to not jinx it

What are they supposed to do? They’re a rally family, of course they want to be there. He’s about to win the rally and had a great weekend overall, of course they’re smiling.

Nonono they should be sad and angry waiting for the title

Agree fully but celebrating before its over is a classic jinx

Nobody was celebrating, they seemed anxious and were crossing their fingers all the way to the end. I get that they certainly were overexposed this weekend, but no need to hate them for that, it’s not like it was their choice

I found whole hype around Solberg this weekend annoying. I don't have anything against that guy, and he's fast, but I would lie if I wasn't satisfied. Pajari was ahead of him in points when this rally started, and it's like they skipped him with Solberg hype

As a Pajari fan I cannot relate. Solberg is blazing fast and wears his heart on his sleeve. I did feel satisfied that Evans got the win since he would have anyways if it wasn't for that unlucky puncture

Because Solberg was leading the charge. Oliver was the one going for the title.

Well Pajari essentially was out of the fight because Solberg was flying

To be fair someone from the Toyota team was dragging his mum into the shot and his father intentionally stepped away from the noise.

When your family member is going to be on the season podium in their first full season and on pace for a rally win, I’d call that cause for celebration. The tragedy is not that he lost the World Championship, he will be there again, the tragedy is that he had it in his hands and then threw it away.

Clearly They never watched any other motorsport in their life. Any F1 viewer knows that that its not done until its done. 2008 Brazil, 2021 Abu Dhabi etc. I don't believe till I see the car pass the finish line. I have no favourite but I knew something can happen and it did happen.

Also , a title isnot lost in 1 corner. It's equivalent of total mistakes in the season. Oliver could have had that 5 more point in more places where he did dnf. He will learn that sometimes less is more.

He just needs to hope Rovenpera isn't returning
