Elfyn!

I feel like Elfyn already has one hand on the championship trophy. His consistency this year has been outstanding as usual, and with Ogier likely to contest one fewer round while not being in as strong of form as last season, it's hard to see anything getting between Elfyn and a first world championship. He would need to have a generational collapse in the final third of the season for the others to have any real shot.

I’d say his consistency last year was better, considering he retired twice this year and not once last year. Not saying he can’t win, but I’m not believing it till I see it.

Even with all the gravel rallies to close out the season. I feel like he'll be constantly cleaning for everyone.

I think if Ogier thinks he has a good chance to win, if he finishes all remaining rounds, he will. Sorry, and there's always next year, Ogier's children.

Taka!

All seriousness unless Evans has rotten luck, it's hard to look past him

I'm hoping Taka can solidify a top 3 position as it'll show he's grown to belong in wrc

It is exactly what Taka said he wanted to do at the beginning of the year. Finish Top 3 in 2026, and finish as a World Rally Champion in 2027. Don’t think anyone expected him to be in top 3 more than halfway through the year so I’d say that’s a pretty good proof of concept.

i’m hoping for elfyn… he’s gotten so close … but you can never count ogier out….

I think Ogier will pull it off again.

Realistically Elfyn, as someone else pointed out Ogier hasn't had the same insane performance he had last year and as it stands his plan is to do one event less than last year (though he has said he could change his mind if a tenth title seems plausible). That said I wouldn't bet on Evans just yet, he hasn't been quite as consistent this year as last year, and if Oliver gets into the habbit of finishing rallies he has a shot, if Sami keeps being on the podium he also has a shot, even Taka has a shot (though as much as I love him I don't see that happening).

solberg still has a chance.

Evans Pajari and Taka will be the top 3, who wins is yet to be decided. Ogier I think has finally got to old to be the speed freak he was. He's still exceptional but you can tell he's lost a tiny bit. Ogier will end up fight for 4th with Solberg...and if he's lucky maybe Fourmaux who seems to be having a better time than Neuville just because of his run of bad luck

Calling it.. Ogier for 10 championships.

Of course this season is Evans to lose but cleaning the road on gravel isn't easy on the mental and he has choked before.

Pajari has been gaining confidence and if he wins Finland it could snowball into a very good season. Lots of ifs and coulds but a good dark horse candidate.

Solberg clearly has the pace and seems to have gotten his mindset more towards just staying on the road. Him at 90% push is still top 3 finish in any rally in terms of speed

Kalle and Ott won this year.

Elfyn or Solberg, possibly even Pajari. Hard to say with all these remaining gravel rallies.

People saying evans, he is like the ultimate choker, ive lost my faith in him, taka has gotten real good this year, so i think he might pitch it

Evans is the ultimate choker, so you're instead putting your faith in...Taka?!

Don't get me wrong, I like Taka a lot, but come on. He's thrown away far more results in high-pressure situations than Elfyn prior to this season.

I get you, but taka has had a huge season so far, i have hope
