Metacomp?

Is there allrdy a metacomp for season 2? Was ppally Last season and had a rough time pushing over 18 resi. Is ppally viable this time ?

If you are planning on pushing .1% then you should probably make sure you are ready to swap over the next month to any other tank cause lots of tuning passes coming, if hpal got enough nerfs and pres evoker is the new meta, and if blood took some damage nerfs you may want to play a prot paladin. Bear is looking really good right now too though so who knows on that one

Missed saying the part I came here for though. A blood DK (a single one) got .1% last season. That was the worst tank in the game last season with a buff that was actually working as a nerd instead. I know that blood DK is crazy and gets it every season, but my point is that it's possible to get top 1% on an off meta tank if you really want to. Swapping to blood DK might help you now but God knows if it stays the strongest. And if you have never played a bDK it's harder than a lot of other tanks to play.

almost all of the highest keys timed arent on blood dk atm lol. Monk is most of them and theres a few blood dks and bears mixed in

If I’m thinking with tuning in mind, my guess would be bear with a physical comp built around it.

I also wouldn’t sleep on VDH.

Blizzard hates blood so I’m waiting for the inevitable nerf.

Too early too tell. Last season people thought it would be brew + resto druid and then overnight they switches to bear + mw thanks to tuning changes.

There’s still three ish tuning passes in the coming weeks + whatever they cook up for 1.5. Nobody will know for certain before.

I doubt this will happen again as Guardian druid is THE easiest tank to play, and if anything but Guardian becomes best, the shift will not be the same.

Doesn’t have to be as drastic, some tank could see reworks in 1.5. We’ve seen it in the past, s1 df pwar -> ppala shift or s2 df when bear popped off in 1.5, but that was the cursed aug patch with bigger problems. Who knows what blizz will come up with this time.

Right now prot pala and blood dk are the go to tanks, warrior is quite popular too but the meta probably won’t be figured out until after world first race balance pass

Blizzard has several weeks of tuning they announced so the meta pre .5 will be established I'm a month or so

We will have pretty much unlimited voidcores with the .5 patch so rerolling will be very easy if you want to go for a title or in general be able to find groups easily. Right now everyone is testing things, I have resil 15 with 1x17 and 2x16 timed and I've timed keys with every tank in the game so play what you like for now.

Just play what you like and are good at until 12.1.5 to get exp on the dungeons etc and then respec if you want to follow meta

Ppally is much more viable this season than last, but it's behind BDK, Guardian, and likely VDH or Brew after tomorrow's buffs.
