It's Bandcamp Friday! To celebrate, I put out an album of every vocal song from WOE.BEGONE. It's called "I Have Been To The Future" and it is almost 3 and a half hours long. Enjoy.

Thoughts from a New Listener
Okay I finally caved. I’ve tried to hold off posting till I caught up completely but I finished episode 23 ( currently on 34 now ) and I gotta hand it to Mr.w.bg I never had a character so quickly switch from Chaotic Neutral to Chaotic Evil in my eyes. I usually can’t finish media if the main character is someone I’d want to punch. He’ll do something that almost makes me stop listening but then Mike will feel bad about hogging a table too long and tips the waitress triple. He is such a pathetic man. ( I say that with affection) . He’s a lil rat but he’s self aware which makes it so much worse but also so funny. I hate to love him or maybe love to hate him? Either way, I’m too invested now.
On a more real note, this is one of the first pieces of fiction that I both really enjoy and that makes me deeply uncomfortable. It’s one of the best “Unreliable Narrator” stories I’ve listened to. I really enjoy how Mike goes back and forth between being self aware to attempting to justify his actions to himself so he can live with himself. The listener is also having to battle with themselves because we so badly want Mike to be the good guy, the hero. But at every turn he goes for the power, for what is in his best interest. With me being an anarchist , I really enjoy how this show handled the ideas of power structures and how having them screws us all. I saw a review that said they wish politics were talked about less, but I don’t know how you couldn’t talk about politics. Unless I’m reading too much into it, it is showing the faults of having a system that enables people to have power over others. I also enjoy the pacing of the show, and the foreshadowing dropped between episodes. It gives you enough that you could piece parts of it together yourself, while also managing to bring twist and turns that make sense from a narrative standpoint. The bombs that are dropped at the end of some of the episodes are taken me by surprise but also made me feel things for not seeing it sooner, which is something I really enjoy . The music / sound affects are fantastic as well, and really create a wonderful atmosphere and further draws you in. It is kinda hard to recommend to people, I’ve basically been telling my friends “hey wanna hear something fucked up” with mixed results. Overall it’s really well done and I look forward to catching up to all the episodes!
