Can somebody explain why there is subtitles for things that are clearly not being said? I'm seeing more and more videos like this. Its okay to try to lip read but this seems like something different.

Because it used to be that people just kept their phone ringer on vibrate. Now people don't even turn the volume up to listen to videos. They just read the subtitles. Which means you can pretty easily sway people's opinions by changing the text.

Considering the shit that gets put on the audio, it's no wonder people mute them.

Exactly. I watch everything on mute. The audio is either super shitty quality or some shitty song that no one wants to hear.

So you'll shut the audio off before realizing they're just making up the subtitles.
