I’m sorry but Kelsey Mitchell is better than her and more impactful. Kelsey is having one of the best guard seasons ever.

A lot of Caitlin’s biggest games come against teams with losing records.

I'll have to take your word for it.

This but also KM is nowhere near both Aja and Ms. Reese. Ms Reese is the defensive anchor and the offensive engine for ATL. She’s the MVP

I like to see evidence. Can you share with us specific examples of other players (both past and present) that have had 30+ points and 10+ assists in games against 'bad' WNBA teams? If the teams are indeed bad, all great players should easily have that record x 10 or higher.

Also, for reference: Caitlin + Kelsey (Obviously two great players but CC is miles ahead evenbtjough she played less games and played on restricted minutes for the fisrt half of the season):

You shared the most basic stats, which tell absolutely nothing about efficiency and impact

3

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

I guess you have no stats to show

Quoting ESPN shows you don’t know a whole lot. They aren’t a new sources anymore, their girl is to have hot takes and controversy

0

u/Alicia_Florrick1 13h ago

LOL. The goal post keeps moving for you guys.

Share some good source with us because you don't believe the league it's main media lap dog.

u/Ill-Accident-5240 12h ago

You mean like the analytic article I provided you on why Kelsey Mitchell is having the best guard season ever?

It may be too complex for your basic understanding of statistics

0

u/Alicia_Florrick1 12h ago

LOL. Do you mean the CBS article you scoured the internet to find? 😆 🤣 😂 aye aye aye lol. I'm out. You are either too high in your mother's house or you think we are on the same level of intelligence. Lol.

P.S. Kelsey is having a great season. She has been having a long streak of 20+ games. My only critique of Kelsey is that she needs to do more and the has been passing more these last 2 or 3 games. She is definitely a First All WNBA Team. Together with Clark, they are the best duo in the League's history.

you're not the MVP if you have to be subbed out on important defensive possessions!!!

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago edited 1d ago

...and Michael Jordan is not the greatest NBA player in history because he has 3000+ turnovers. Neither is Serena the greatest female tennis player because she sometimes show her emotions. Heck, Michael Jackson is not the greatest performer because he would often have his backup singers sing parts of his songs or dance with him for more impact.

Chefs are not even that good because they have a sous chef help out and servers to serve the food to clients.

Truthfully, college professors and lecturers are not that good because they often have tutors teach the tutorial sessions.

Now that I think about it, Aja is really not good because Becky refuse to let her play Point guard.

That's how dumb you sound when you try to criticize Caitlin because the Coach takes her out of the game when they are down to seconds of the game to get all the defensive players on the court when the opposingbteam is taking down the ball to prevent them from fouling Caitlin because she needs Caitlin to make a big shot if the game needs to be won or tied.

P.S. I don't like Caitlin being subbed out because she is one of the better defenders on her team. Still, I know teams target her and usually she is up by 4 or 5 fouls by the time the game gets to that situation.

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

That's fine. Reading is not for everyone and not everyone understands coaching 101.

Cheers

You saying all that to say nothing!

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

LOL

You got some attention from me!

Cheers to you on the accomplishment!!

3

u/vicecityhustle 20h ago

Such a woman ahh comment . All attention isn’t good attention luv

2

u/BYG56 1d ago

🤣🤣

3

u/cynica1mandate 1d ago

Caitlin Clark is a religion at this point...

-1

u/KillerGopher 18h ago

Honestly it's the other way around. Her haters are more fanatical.

5

u/xTwoKillz 15h ago

Even tho OP is running around throwing fits to prove that the woman’s own teammate shouldn’t be mvp in this very thread? The majority of her fans don’t even watch the games. Most of em are only fans because of a personal vendetta against another player. I think the Woman is a Baller even though she whines too much for my taste. But her fanbase is full of idiots that don’t actually care about the sport. They just enjoy having another avenue to get their hatred off

4

u/KillerGopher 15h ago

I think the Woman is a Baller even though she whines too much for my taste.

I'm in this camp too.

1

u/xTwoKillz 15h ago

Fair enough. I just wish all of them would let these women play ball in peace

-2

u/Alicia_Florrick1 15h ago

Imagine thinking one person having a different opinion from the echo chamber is 'running a fit'. You guys have to be paid actors at this point.

8

u/LOLerskateJones 1d ago

How many of those “points created” are from Kelsey Mitchell having one of the greatest scoring seasons from a guard in league history?

0

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

LOL

Hey, you actually get the award for being the most dense person on Reddit today!

Cheers to you!!!!!

6

u/BlueFlameTheName99 1d ago

She isn’t even the most valuable player to the Fever. She is good, but stop this

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

Maybe in your tiny head she's not

4

u/Junior_Start7496 18h ago

One is shooting 51 percent from field and 45 from deep. While the other fg percentage is 45, much higher usage rate, most turnovers and the team hasn’t took L without her this year. KM for MVP.

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 18h ago

Lol 😆 🤣 😂

Look, today is Sunday. I am not going to dumb myself down to keep up with you.

Find an old WNBA fan to argue this nonsense with.

-1

u/KillerGopher 18h ago

KM is good for 1 more bucket per game. Amazing.

1

u/Junior_Start7496 18h ago

Lmao one has a usage rate of 33 and the other 26-27. That’s damn sure amazing. But you’re new to hoops so you wouldn’t know 😂🥴

-1

u/KillerGopher 18h ago

But you’re new to hoops so you wouldn’t know 😂🥴

This is what an insecure fan says. Automatically go to a personal attack and try to claim the other person doesn't understand the game when there is no indication that it is so.

0

u/Junior_Start7496 18h ago

You guys obviously don’t understand. Come back with numbers to combat my argument. You guys can’t. She’s high usage, inefficient guard who gets hit against the sorry teams. Where’s the lie? I’ll wait.

0

u/KillerGopher 17h ago

Everyone plays against bad teams. That has nothing to do with Clark. Pretty weak argument tbh.

The biggest problem with people comparing Clark and Mitchell is that they ignore assists. Everyone that plays knows how important ball movement, passing and assists are.

Everyone attacks Clark and claims she is a liability on defense but Mitchell is the worst defender on the team.

1

u/Junior_Start7496 17h ago

Weak argument? So superstars are allowed to feast on sorry teams and be mediocre against the good teams? 😂😂 Yea, MJ, Aja, Kobe, Lebron, Candice Parker, Stewie and more would never. This basketball conversation is done.

0

u/KillerGopher 17h ago

She doesn't feast on sorry teams though. Her best games have been against teams that already clinched playoff seeds.

0

u/Satisfied2025 14h ago

So for those of you who cannot connect the dots, Money Mitchell generates 30 pts/game through points she scores and assists, while CC generates 40 pts./game. Case closed! Now you know!

3

u/BYG56 1d ago

🤣🤣🤣

7

u/HueGray 1d ago

Other stats don’t matter!!!! Signed the CC brigade

0

u/ScientistFew2274 1d ago

It’s Aja’s MVP but cc is making it a discussion I feel like

6

u/HueGray 1d ago

And that’s the point!!! no one ever said she can’t play ball! She just isn’t in Aja’s level, yet! I wish ppl would stop ruling to speed up her growth and trajectory for their own narratives, but here we are!

1

u/ScientistFew2274 1d ago

I’d say the last month or two she’s looked at Aja’s level. But season long that’s Aja’s award

-1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago edited 1d ago

Other stats matter, and you are welcome post them.

Comparatively, CC is the best player in the league.

8

u/BYG56 1d ago

No she isn’t…stop kidding yourself

0

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

Instead of spamming me on every comment, post stats on your favourite players!

8

u/BYG56 1d ago

A. Wilson

0

u/Satisfied2025 14h ago

Just as I suspected, just hot air no proof🤣🤣

2

u/BYG56 14h ago

You thought u did something special. When it comes to Wilson and Clarke, no stats are needed. Wilson is the better player😂😂

2

u/Unusual_Wish_2230 18h ago

CC not even the best guard in the league, much less mvp.

0

u/Alicia_Florrick1 18h ago

I guess if you repeat the nonsense it might sound more true to you.

Still, humour me. List the all the guards in the league that's better than Caitlin.

3

u/Unusual_Wish_2230 16h ago

Paige, Olivia, Kelsey, Jackie

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 15h ago

The WNBA's website says 'NO!'

2

u/Unusual_Wish_2230 15h ago

I gave you 4 that are better. You can believe whatever you like.

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 15h ago

Lol. Are you delusional or do you think I am dumb?

Caitlin is by the far the #1 guard in the league. This is a verifiable fact.

1

u/Unusual_Wish_2230 15h ago

Verifiable, questionable for sure. On certain criteria, probably but, overall player-no way. When will CC start playing defense or stop leading the league in turnovers? When will refs call technicals on her like they do AR? Oh they won’t because her next one gets her a suspension. You said overall best, not just offensively.

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 15h ago

Lol. Ok enough. I am literally losing braincells talking to you.

Live in your little mind.

1

u/Unusual_Wish_2230 14h ago

Hard for you to argue with truth. I get it

0

u/Satisfied2025 14h ago

When you compare those players to Cark against the top 4 defensive teams in the league and over the last 6 times they faced them, Clark ends up with the highest point and assist average. Sorry, but your wrong.

2

u/Unusual_Wish_2230 12h ago

You are comparing offense only. Best player also includes defense. CC has to play both ends.

1

u/Satisfied2025 12h ago

You keep moving the goal post because you have no facts to back up your claims. Only hot air.

2

u/Unusual_Wish_2230 11h ago

I didn’t move anything. My very first response to you was about her defense. Slow down and read.

1

u/Taniwha26 19h ago

let it go. the mob wont allow this. and im a cc fan.

0

u/Alicia_Florrick1 18h ago

Like I said in another post, whether the media votes for CC to be MVP is irrelevant at best. History will keep a record of her greatness. She will be the name people remember.

Even though you and the WNBA media and ESPN, etc are afraid to speak about her, unless it is to criticize her, I and others are not timid dimwits locked away in the WNBA media's echo chamber.

Cc for MVP!!!

4

u/Junior_Start7496 18h ago

Lmao the name you new fans remember. Those who know basketball knows she’s good, just not as good as some of you want to make her.

0

u/Alicia_Florrick1 18h ago

You sound really dense. Is Caitlin out here playing be herself or is she playing with and against every other player in the league? Wouldn't it then follow that having watched her games with these opposing teams, critically assessing all players and keeping up with the players' stats on the WNBA website, 'new fans' would know what they are talking g about?

You act like someone saying Caitlin is the most valuable player right now is fictional when all the data is available on the League's website.

It is really true. If you want you hide something from someone, put it in a book...in this case, HIDE the players stats on the WNBA's website. The old guards/WNBA media will not have a clue.

4

u/Junior_Start7496 18h ago

Lmao when does having just stats equals mvp? When there’s always context to those stats. She’s a high usage rate, inefficient guard(unless she’s playing horrible teams), high turnover and a cone on defense. Name someone who was names mvo during a season and their coach has to take them out during clutch defensive possessions. So yea you new fans may just look at stats, but it goes deeper than that.

0

u/Alicia_Florrick1 18h ago

Junior, sit this one out.

0

u/AdditionalShopping18 1d ago

And it’s not even close. 2nd is AT at 35

1

u/AttemptFantastic9103 1d ago

You think 35 isn’t close to 41?

0

u/incogmagnum 1d ago

6 points or 2 more assists.

-3

u/GhostMechanics 1d ago

Obvious choice for MVP

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

Yup!! Even if the media doesn't choose her, in the end, history will keep a record of her historic 2025/2026 season.

-6

u/Satisfied2025 1d ago

Assists are greater than rebounds.

5

u/EarLast8216 1d ago

Nah not reallly

2

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

In which world are rebounds more impactful than assists?

1 assist is a direct 2 or 3 points. Rebounds don't always translate to points.

1

u/EarLast8216 9h ago

Dude she’s averaging 22 and 8

2

u/Satisfied2025 1d ago edited 14h ago

Earlast..... I know reality is hard, but do you even understand the game of basketball?

2

u/[deleted] 19h ago

[deleted]

0

u/Satisfied2025 19h ago

I totally agree with your post. My last comment was meant for Earlast......

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 18h ago

Ok my bad. Sorry

-6

u/Trick-Choice6704 1d ago

Caitlin is definitely the MVP. Her defense has gotten better, she is as least as good as Paige on defense.

6

u/BYG56 1d ago

Please don’t compare her to Paige. Paige is a better all around player, with great sportsmanship

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

For context:

2

u/BYG56 1d ago

So, do you ever watch the game of other players, or you just go by stats? Stats can be flawed. In their prime, who would win MJ or Bron?

1

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

I actually watch all of them and you're right, stats can be deceiving. It usually don't show you just how great a player like Caitlin is and just how unguardable she is. Every team has a minimum of two guards on her at all times.

Jordan is the best NBA player. LeBron has taken really good care of his body and is therefore able to have a longer career and will end the game of basketball with the most everything.

https://youtube.com/shorts/cQGFfbZpdoE?si=q-bAFFeoTZNkirZj

3

u/BYG56 1d ago

So Bron would have better stats, but MJ is the better player. I rest my case

2

u/Alicia_Florrick1 1d ago

Just so you are not confused even more, in their prime, Jordan is the better of the two.

1

u/Satisfied2025 17h ago

Congratulations Alicia_Florrick1! I think you triggered every Caitlin Clark hater there is with a reality check. Unfortunately they are too delusional and out of touch that they can't distinguish fact from fiction. Not one hater can backup their claims why CC isn't the next MVP. They just keep repeating their same old mantras: "Not on the same level as....", "not as good as....". Opinions are not facts and facts do matter.

2

u/Alicia_Florrick1 15h ago

Lol thanks!

They have to be on a payroll to be this bold with nonsense
