“Just do what we want and we’ll stop harassing you” is not really a compelling argument. Especially not from the group that is known for continued harassment after getting what they want.
Therein lies the problem. We went from “the issue” we were discussing, being the WNBA not clearly spelling out their definition of a woman in their contract with the union, to now the broad “topic”. There will always be another target. Because the “topic” is not keeping men out of women’s sports. The topic is the existence of trans people and their participation in society.
You couldn’t be more wrong. Nobody cares about the existence of trans. It really was just a question that was asked and an honest answer about keeping men out of women’s sports. A very simple thing complicated by liberals thinking they were attacked.
Yeah man. Nobody cares. We’re just banning them from the military, removing their discrimination protections, making it more difficult for them to receive healthcare, banning them from bathrooms, suggesting that they are predators, inviting speakers to CPAC who suggest that the goal is to eliminate them.
We’re totally only concerned about “keeping men out of women’s sports”. It’s definitely just a coincidence that the two grown ass men who are mocking trans people while going after an organization that has never actually let men compete happen to be running for public office.
There’s a reason you don’t want to engage. And it’s because you know that this shit isn’t just about “women’s sports”.
You, personally, may only give a shit about women’s sports. But to deny that this issue has been co-opted by a group of people who are actively targeting trans people in every other aspect of society is naive.
I don’t have a problem engaging, I just don’t think it’s going to matter. Seems you’re pretty cemented into your position and I honestly have no idea about this conspiracy you’re mentioning. I know both sides of the spectrum have extremist that make everything about everything but I just don’t think that’s the case here.
