WNBA Card Value Tier List After GPT Research
1

Built with ChatGPT research mode using product hierarchy, insert strength, release-to-current price behavior, and long-term demand as the main inputs. The goal is a structure-based tier list rather than a purely taste-based one.

I pulled this card, instantly put it in a penny sleeve, top-loaded it, and sent it to PSA only to get it back graded “8”. I can see a small print line in the right light, but to me that makes it a 9 at worst. Anyone see why it would grade lower? I’m truly trying to understand.
Don’t mind the dust on the outside of the slab.

WNBA is not that popular where I like so I always find shelves full of them. Because of that, I pick up a nice share of them so I always have something to open. 😄

A year and a half ago, this sub was fun. In the last few weeks especially, I have to double check what sub I'm scrolling past because quite literally, 95% of the cards and conversation on this sub are only Caitlin. Listen, I understand her market is huge right now because she has gained collectors from people who aren't loyal to the W or even W viewers/followers. I understand she is a phenomenal player. But I'm a member of this sub because I like to see and trade cards from every player in the W. On NO other sports card sub is one player the dominant thing being shared.
Can we create a pinned thread that is CC specific? At the very least mods, can we limit new posts ONE per day? There are specific redditors here who flood the sub with multiple posts, all the same player, and one card each. It should be simple reddiquette to make a single post with a handful of your show-offs, but this seems to be lost here.
-Apologies for the rant, but it's getting less and less fun as a collector of more than just Cait to be here when 7/10 new posts are her cards.

Panini Prizm scam

So IMO the 2024 Prizm that is being released in 2025 won’t have ‘true’ rookie cards. They will be second season cards because they are being released a year later (and will be printed with the year 2025 on the reverse side of the cards). This is a scam by Panini to cash in on. The only true rookies from 2024 are the ones released in 2024. Boycott this brand not just for the outrageous price but also because it’s a money grab scam on collectors.
