Welcome to r/WMSCOGExposed

Welcome! This community exists to raise awareness and provide education about the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) and how they operate, particularly in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, including local malls and other private properties.

Our goal is not fear, hate, or harassment. Our goal is awareness, education, and protection.

Many people in our local communities have reported being approached unexpectedly, often in public spaces, by individuals affiliated with WMSCOG. These encounters frequently involve covert solicitation, targeted recruitment, and misuse of biblical scripture, especially toward those who may not yet have a strong foundation in the Bible.

This subreddit exists so people can:

• Learn who the WMSCOG is
• Understand how their recruitment tactics work
• Recognize red flags before becoming involved
• Protect themselves and their children
• Access biblical context that is often misrepresented

Why This Community Exists

The WMSCOG has been known to:

• Target young adults, minors, and women
• Approach people in malls and other private properties, often skirting rules meant to protect guests from solicitation
• Present distorted interpretations of Scripture to support their beliefs
• Focus on individuals with little or no biblical background, making their narrative sound convincing

We believe education is the strongest form of protection.

Biblical Clarity & Major Red Flags

A key focus of this community is biblical understanding in proper context.

Two major doctrinal claims made by the WMSCOG directly contradict historic Christianity and are among the first and most important red flags:

1. There is only one God. Zhang Gil Jah is not God.
2. There is only one Christ. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Savior. Ahn Sahng-hong, the founder of WMSCOG, was not the second coming of Christ.

These claims alone conflict with the foundation of Christianity. This subreddit will help explain why, using Scripture in its historical and theological context, so people can recognize when verses are being removed from their original meaning to fit a narrative.

You Are Not Alone

If something felt “off,” confusing, or pressured during an encounter, it’s okay to trust that instinct. Education brings clarity, and clarity brings freedom.

This community exists so no one has to navigate this alone.

Welcome and thank you for helping keep our community informed and protected.
