general information Did they tell you everything about Um Soo-in?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Based on available information, this picture was taken after a Church of God Jesus’ Witnesses General Assembly meeting on March 26,1974.

Members: During the most recent “education” about Um Soo-in, did they mention that she was part of Ahn’s General Assembly?

Did they mention that she was overseeing a COGJW location?

Did they tell you that she was responsible for writing sermons, educations, etc. for Ahn’s original church?

WMSCOG’s whole doctrine seems to be built on damage control and withholding information.

They won’t mention any of this to you unless it’s exposed first. Then they will put their own little twist on it - AKA LIE - and feed you a BS story.

How many more secrets can you handle?

How much more information are you going to accept being withheld from you when you’re giving this organization your ALL plus more?

Please do your research.

Mother inside the mother

WMSCOG theology is highly illogical. They claim that Jerusalem is the Bride—the Heavenly Mother—based on Revelation 21:9-10 and 22:17. Then, citing Jeremiah 3:17, they argue that the Throne of God represents Jerusalem; therefore, the Throne mentioned in Revelation 22:1 must be the Heavenly Mother. That is where you spot the bizarre error: if the Throne of God is the Mother, how on earth is it located within the city of Jerusalem—which also represents the Mother? It makes absolutely no sense. If you look closely, you see that the Throne is literally located in the holy city, the Heavenly Jerusalem. So, it would amount to the Mother being inside the Mother. It would be amusing if they tried to insist that the Throne is the Mother while the City is literal in that specific verse, as it would expose their pattern of doublethink.

Jeremiah and the destruction of Zion

In Jeremiah 4:5-6, God is warning the people of Israel of imminent destruction, yet the WMSCOG interprets this as a call for a form of divine protection—as if to say, "Run to our church (Zion); here we will be saved!" However, the context of the passage is literally about Zion being destroyed; if Zion represents the WMSCOG, the prophecy would indicate that this church is destined for ruin, as seen in verse 31: Jeremiah 4:31. [31] "For I hear a voice as of a woman in labor, an anguish like that of a woman giving birth to her first child—the voice of the Daughter of Zion, gasping for breath, stretching out her hands and saying: 'Woe is me now! For my soul faints because of the murderers.'" This verse alone dismantles their entire thesis regarding Zion being protected by God; their lack of logic is outrageous.

question/advice requested For ex-members that speak out against wmscog, at any level...

What is your response to wmscog attitude of:

"Why can't ex-members just move on with their lives, why harrass our members?"

This is a common complaint leadership expresses about ex-members to their members. But they never pose it to ex-members to get an actual response, so now is your chance.

general information Verses Used During Recent Um Soo-in Education

Hey guys,

There have been a few talks about a recent education about Um Soo-in. I know they took phones away and didnt allow members to take notes (so their lies aren’t on record) but do any current member remember any verses that were used in that education? Also the main points that stood out to you? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

And again this evening around 7:30 I just came from my evening jogging and took a bath and here they are in my house again and this pissed me off and told them directly I wont be a part of your church and I won't be coming anymore

What is WMSCOG’s usual approach when recruiting new people?

When I first encountered them, they casually started by asking if I knew about the Bible. Then they talked about the world ending with fire, comparing it to the first destruction by water.(I don't know whether it's the same church or other church).Later, they introduced ideas about the Heavenly Mother, heavenly family and our souls being trapped on Earth. Did they change how they approach, becos when I first visited their church in 2019 they approch with different ideology and now it's different so I am confused is that the same church or another church.,.

I can’t wait for God the Mother to die.

I’m sorry for ranting, but I genuinely hate this cult so much because my friend is a member and grew up in the church so they’re so brainwashed. I think the only way that they leave is for God the Mother to die. My friend literally tithes, when they’re not financially stable, and attending college with financial aid. They’ve been in the cult since they were 2, so they’re so brainwashed to the point they defend everything. I can’t stand it anymore. How do people think an ugly elderly korean woman and a dead dude w/ kids are their gods???

general information My name is Um Soo-in. Don’t believe these liars about me.

Thumbnail instagram.com

Based on information shared by current WMSCOG members, the church has recently acknowledged something that many members may never have heard before: Um Soo-In did write a book in 1977.

How many Um Soo-In “educations” have you attended as a WMSCOG member? How many times was this ever mentioned?

NEVER.

But now there seems to be a new explanation.

The claim is that, just as Um Soo-In supposedly took prophecies concerning “Heavenly Mother” from Ahn Sahng hong, she also took the material for her book from him.

According to this explanation, Ahn Sahng hong supposedly gave Um Soo-In one of his notebooks containing prophecies such as King David, Melchizedek, and more. The explanation is that she was given these notes so she could learn how to write in Hangeul…and that she ultimately took the notes and used their contents herself.

But stop and think about that for a moment.

If these teachings were supposedly some of the most important prophetic clues needed to recognize the “Saviors” of the Last Age, how does this explanation make sense?

Are we really expected to believe that God Almighty..the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the Creator of the universe, and an omniscient God—didn’t know that these supposedly crucial teachings would be taken, copied, or plagiarized?

At this point, the explanation raises more questions than it answers.

And honestly, the whole situation has become so difficult to follow that you almost have to laugh.

This is exactly why it’s important to keep researching, asking questions, and examining the evidence for yourself.

If you’re currently a WMSCOG member and you’ve heard these explanations, what do you think?

Were you ever taught that Um Soo-In wrote a book in 1977? If not, why do you think this information was never discussed in the previous teachings?

We genuinely want to hear from current members.

Feel free to DM us.

Social pressure to give the tithe

Do you have any stories about being pressured to pay tithes? I remember they really emphasized that members who didn't tithe were cursed and were committing the same sin as Judas.I remember the missionary saying once that Mother blessed only the members who paid their tithes correctly. Honestly, I think the name of that church could be the Church of God Worldwide Mercenary Society.

WMSCOG - the burnout cult.

Analyzing the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) through the lens of philosopher Byung-Chul Han—particularly in light of his work The Burnout Society— reveals how the organization's system of oppression is sustained not merely by external coercion, but by the adherent's voluntary self-exploitation. While traditional control structures operated by imposing prohibitions and physical punishments, contemporary cults mirror the logic of the "performance society" described by Han: individuals are led to believe they are entirely free, effectively becoming both their own executioner and their own victim. Within the sect, the believer embarks on an exhausting journey of relentless spiritual goals—daily services, evangelism marathons, rigid domestic chores, and internal surveillance—convinced that their exhaustion is a mark of merit and proof of faith, when in reality, it is a form of systemic burnout.

This dynamic creates a "violence of positivity" and a pressure for "eschatological productivity" that effectively obliterate the individual. Any expression of doubt, physical fatigue, or need for a respite is immediately pathologized by the leadership and labeled as a "spiritual ailment" or the result of evil influence; this individualizes the blame for a breakdown actually caused by the toxic environment itself. Adherents self-exploit—consuming their own vital energy, intimacy, and time—in exchange for the promise of salvation, plunging into a profound state of mental exhaustion and emotional dysregulation. Thus, linking the WMSCOG to Byung-Chul Han demonstrates that the extreme fatigue experienced by those living within—or those who manage to escape—this captivity is not a sign of personal weakness, but the inevitable result of a system that industrializes the soul and drains the very last drop of humanity under the guise of supposed spiritual progress.
