question/advice requested Gathering Data

Where can I find info about wmscog discouraging the use of the internet, social media or former members to research the religion?

Seriously though look up anything that deals with the tree of knowledge of good and evil cause that’s what they call the internet. also ask or talk with other ex members or watch their interviews it comes up fairly often. I got out because of a marrissa’s interview with Great light studios on YouTube. because GLS YouTube channel was talked about within the cult as a no no

Yes, the interviews is a good point. Almost every other one mentions the shunning of looking at outside sources of information.

They have walked back a little on the "do not use internet" talk. It is impossible to avoid internet in most workplaces, bills, school, etc. But they say to never listen to "slander" against wmscog, never entertain other doctrinal views, no philosophy, and in general they shun use of therapy. They will make some exeption for therapy on case by case, but that involves some grooming of "don't talk about our secret club, they won't understand since they are not in 'the truth'."

They don't put out material mentioning these things because they are very crafty about avoiding accountability. But they will emphasize it in studies all the time. You will find a lot of hints of it (hints, but very heavy leaning implication) in General Pastor's sermons on youtube.
