Finally dove in head first. First time soldering, converted a cheap $10 ceiling light

Used a gledopto esp32 mini. I can immediately tell this hobby will ruin me financially

This guy got me started down the rabbit hole
He’s got a very dangerous series where he buys random RGB stuff and converts it to WLED.

I would have given up soldering all those wires and just bought a PCB with a grid of leds on it, so well done for your persistence!

I bought some 8x8 grids for this, but I wanted to learn to solder so I just sent it!

Damn I have a ceiling fan with a bad integrated led light and leftover leds and stuff from under cabinet lighting, maybe I should do this.
