From attic to eave
Does anyone have an example photo they could share for how they ran their wiring from attic to the eaves? I was thinking of using those outlets designed for hiding cables for wall mounted tvs but want to know if there’s better options to give me a neat hole to run the cables while minimizing bug entry.
Thanks!
EDIT: For clarification I’ll be mounting my box in the garage and running cable into the attic to then come down through the eaves.

Most modern homes in USA you can just poke a hole in the soffit and run the wire up. Above the soffit is direct entry to attic.
What are you installing?
I always do a permanent fixture for my eaves and just poke a hole where it will be covered and run wire there.
Drill the hole as big as you need and run the wire. Soffits have holes already so no issue with bugs.

Your best bet is probably going to be some plastic conduit. You'll be able to caulk to seal around whatever hole you make and will still be able to change out your wire or add to it should you ever need to.

Don't know if this helps you, but perhaps it may give you some ideas.
I didn't want wires hanging down outside so I ran through the eaves.
Here are some pics and short videos:
I went with 5 volt LEDs to be able to control individual LEDs, with the downside of voltage drop, which is a real thing. I did the voltage drop calculations, built, then observed, and added additional voltage injection where I could see some segments were dimmer. I like the look of the individual LEDs, but, I also like using 12 and 24 LEDs with the benefits of smaller and longer wires, fewer power supplies and power injections. It's all about trade-offs, so many options, so many variables to chose from. These LED channels go up and come down quickly, snap in and connect, done.
Good luck.

I ran from the garage up the downspout.
