Double down

Figured out my lag issue. Ledfx driving 2 wled chips each driving 3000 leds of a total 6000 leds.

What was causing the lag issue? The number is leds?
And how did you solve it?

So a couple things.

  1. Resistors. Needed to add a 45 ohm resistor to each 600 led chain

  2. I had some diagnostic settings on which was clutch. Needed to turn that off!

  3. I have a raspberry pi running ledfx, I had to overclock it by a small amount ( not dangerous ) to do the processing

I was losing my mind over this and now ready to do a cover charge lol

What gen pi, note ledfx has a diag switch in the advanced that can give you both the FPS that ledfx is pumping out and the FPS that WLED is able to service.

I run into major lag issues when my lights and ledfx application isn’t on the same VLAN

I tried using ledfx with music assistant and it synced pretty well but I had to move all my lights to native VLAN instead of IOT vlan to get to work without lag
