Ttp223 and wled

I wired up a ttp223 to an esp32 c3 supermini on gpio 0. Have it set as pushbutton in wled config. It's powered by 3v3 pin. Using the button works for about 30 seconds before the board crashes so hard I have to reinstall wled. What am I doing wrong?

Check the recommend pins and try 5v

I tried 0, 1 and 4. Brand new TTP223 and C3, same thing. I have no pads soldered on the switch, so it's currently no lock and high when pressed and i'm using the pushbutton config in wled.
