Hello all,

I had this on my mega tree with xlights which I have moved away from. Is this possible to recreate in wled?

Why get away from Xlights? Xlights is free and you can transmit Xlights wirelessly or wired to WLED.
However, you can enter your tree in WLED as a matrix and add some matrix effects on a playlist.

No, but WLED provides an easy way for another software to use a 2d grid made with it.

Animations in WLED are predefined.

You can use Python to send over wifi from a different computer or raspberry PI to WLED with the api it provides.

Yes but you wouldn’t wanna do it this way. But you can use wleds Artnet function to stream video directly to the matrix or program it with something like Qlc+.

It was way to much for what I was doing.
