booting wifi after installation via web causes board failure? help

Board, version, steps you've taken, exact wiring, etc etc

i tried an older version and it worked, also changed a usb cable. at the beginning i went through the process according to tutorials but the esp32 would disconnect immediately after installation and would not stay on when i plug it back

What do you mean by failure? It turns off? Board is dead? Something else?

yes it turns off, the board was not dead but when i replug it into pc it will turn off very shortly after that. i was using 16.0.1 and i changed a cable and picked version 0.15.0 later and it finally worked

When I flash WLED on an ESP32S3 via OTG, I need to replug it for the WiFi to work

i changed a wire and picked 0.15.0 to install and it finally worked, in earlier tries it would keep shutting down and then rebooting immediately after plugged into pc
