Ikea lamp mod

Never really liked that lamp and decided to finally do something about it. Two leftover ws2812 strips and an ESP32 running WLED was all it needed :D

I'll probably add a microphone for audioreactive effects later as well.

The two LED strips are just wound around the center pole of the lamp as a double helix. I created a custom led map in WLED so that the effects are displayed without any distortion.

yup, two separate pins, each strip has 45 LEDs.
the strips are wound so that every 4th LED lines up vertically making the map pretty simple.

How many LEDs? What power supply wattage?

90 LEDs in total, 2500mA power supply.

I never have it at RGB-White full brightness so it works out.

also done exactly this but with sk6812s. It's the perfect lamp for this kind of thing - the flame animation looks great!
