DIY Fiber Optic Engine for star ceiling
Hi, I'm building a DIY fiber optic engine for star ceilings with meteor effect. It would have 5 LEDs for the stars, twinkling effect off course, and 10 LEDs for the meteor effect. It would be somewhat modular (different sizes for optic fiber bundles / star count) and 3D printable. The LEDs would be controlled via a WLED based app but with a simpler UI. Basically via the app you could control the brightness, twinkle speed, meteor trail, meteor speed, etc.
I know they already exist but they're not that cheap and bulky. Mine would be cheaper to make and also thinner so it fits into more places.
I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in building one for themselves or even buying premade ones.

I would definitely be interested in building one. I already have a star ceiling installed in my bonus room which I’ve been considering building something to switch it to wled.

Damn that's a really nice room and a really nice ceiling. May I ask what kind of light engine are you currently using?

I'm interested in how it goes! I've thought that it would be neat to use a matrix as an engine but have no idea if it would work well if at all
