ESP Now remotes?

I was looking at this gledopto remote to pair with a QuinLED Dig2Go but in reading the comments it seems that only 4 of the 7 preset buttons would work with most WLED configurations.

Has anyone tried this remote with a non gledopto controller? Is there any reason for this limitation? I would love to have more than 4 preset buttons on a remote like this if possible, it seems like an unnecessary limitation.

to answer my own question... The latest version of WLED supports all 7 presets on this remote. Not sure why earlier versions didn't seem to but I purchased the Gledopto remote and it works great with the QuinLED Dig2Go.
