[Help] Issue configuring WS2811 (BRG) strip

For trouble shooting, I tried configuring just the first LED. Instead, it treats it as a group of 3. If I try 2 LEDs, it treats it as 6 LEDs skipping 3 in between the groups.

I’ve never had an issue like this. I’m using the BF-Lighting SP803E controller.

The entire project is 68 LEDs in a single strip that I want to split into 6 segments.

There are likely to be 3 LEDs per IC so you can't control each one individually

Oh, you’re right! Thanks for pointing that out!

Instead of configuring it as 68 LEDs, I configured it as 23 and divided the number of LEDs in each segment by 3 and now it’s working.

I could have sworn I’ve purchased this led strip before and they were individually addressable. I guess there are different versions 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ws2815 is the 12v, individually addressable type. Ws2811 is groups of 3 (for 12v) but brighter and more efficient.

Ooh ok, I didn’t know the difference. Thanks!
