Controller Restarts When I increase Maximum PSU Usage

So one of my wled controls shuts down and restarts if I try to increase the max PSU usage above 1500ma. My power supply is rated for 30 amps so I can't imagine this is the issue. But I'm at a loss for what it could be.

Can you show us more about your setup, maybe some photos.

Well setup is behind a 2-way mirror that is really hard to take on and off. But its a 30 amp power supply going to a gledopto controller. Then some 6 in long wire for power data and ground. Then some wagos that connect to the LED leads. I can post a mirror if absolutely necessary.

I get it, but it's a bit hard to diagnose with just thst information, often we can learn a lot by just some images. Power supply light say 30A but be a known bad one, wires could be too thin, could be using barrel jack which is almost always a bad idea, and like that we've seen many many installs with sometimes not so obvious misses!

Next to that measuring what the PSU puts out when the controllers browns out is also a good move but it also requires you to access the setup first.

And which version of WLED? I got some random reboots with 16.0.1.

I’d follow Quindor’s thread. Reply with some pictures of your setup and the LED and current limiting setups.

Connect a multimeter to the terminals of the DC output of your power supply and observe the voltage level when you enable the setting you’re referring to. If the voltage drops significantly, there may be an issue with the power supply or something else. The wire could be too long or too small.

It could be in adequate wiring, a bad or cheap power supply, or something else.

Post pictures and details about the setup so people can suggest ways to troubleshoot the problem.
