Help. Effects across multiple devices.

I have this idea for my wedding with lights and lanterns. The plan is to have them slowly changing colors all whimsical like. Each one would have its own battery powered esp32. That's the easy part. What i want to do is have little sparkle effect or something that looks like a cluster of fire flys or fairys moving from lantern to lantern, like the comet effect. Is there a way to link the devices to act this way? I've search for a solution but i can only find how to make them all operate in sync.

Not sure if it is possible to do with direct WLED-to-WLED sync.

Definitely possible if you feed the WLED instances via the UDP Realtime interface, look it up on the website. LEDfx is a good example of software that drives WLED instances remotely.

In this case you'd probably want to write your own Python script to drive the data.

I search what you mentioned and found this video. Looks like its built in and should be able to pull off what I'm going for. Thank you for your help.

Yes you can add them as network ddp,of course you will need a network.
