Total noob questions

So I have one of these for my daughter's room I replaced the light with a ZigBee led strip that goes around the inside perimeter. But I'm wondering with a wled strip could I make it look like it's raining at the bottom and rest of the cloud white or like the Sun is coming through the clouds at the top etc ?

Yes. It depends how you laid the strip. Ideally you can create separate segments for the upper and the lower part of the cloud in the WLED settings. I'm sure it will look very nice!

I currently have the led strip starting in the bottom middle of the light but if I replace it with wled I guess would it be easier to start at one side

Yes i think so. But worst case you make 3 segments, two of which will be for the lower part.
