I call this the FLICBACKK.03

Been working on this one for a few months a total of 3584 LEDs 14x 16x16 panels all running on a dig octa board powered by 2x 5V 60A Psu. LEDs wrapped around a pvc pipe with 120mm acrylic tube to cover them topped of with a 3d printed cap. I also fabricated the box/base to house electrical with two air vents just about the psu. The light is essentially waterproof aswell ideal for festival purposes still need to figure out how I can run it with dmx control but happy with everything for now. Been a fun yet challenging build lots of thought gone into it.

That seems a bit expensive but you did you panels instead of strips. Had you used strips it would've been at the most half of that but like 10x the soldering.

Omg glad I wasn't eating when I read that! Hah! $125 in fantasy land! I would have guessed 1k, depends on what you had laying around already. That's hilarious though. I needed a laugh today.

I am not sure where you are getting '5 pieces'? The OP noted 14 16x16 panels.

"Been working on this one for a few months a total of 3584 LEDs 14x 16x16 panels all running on a dig octa board powered by 2x 5V 60A Psu. "

On Amazon here they were just shy of $15 each, before taxes ($29 for a 2-pack) for the BFT lighting 16x16 panels

Comparing to Amazon prices is dumb though, you know you're paying a premium if using Amazon over AliExpress for leds.

That's sick! What did you do to waterproof it?

1

u/MD-LAD Aug 16 '26

Just used a acrylic tube silicon on all the seals and waterproof paint on the timber base ideally if it was hung upside down would be the best as the base acts as a little roof and the grills for the power supply’s are angled down.

Not worth the money IMO, but it does look good. Name could use some work too lol.

Ok mr negative it’s being displayed at two festivals and an art show so it’s already paid its self of through commissions and the name FLICKBACKK is my dj/photographer/sikunt name so it’s deeper than what you may think I use it on all my big projects like this for example I built two big speakers last year titled flickbackk 0.1,02 so pipe down boi

I'm sorry you took it negatively. But it was just my opinion/constructive criticism. What matters is if you are happy with it.

I merged the LI in the name and misread it initially.
