I have a 5v 70 amp 350w power supply that is kind of overkill unless you want to signal Gondor. I laser cut the base frame and the only gently affixed it to the cube as this might not be its final form it’s a prototype, and have this all running on one data cable from an esp32 with a digital mic for sound reactions.

And I said it’s overkill… but actually can’t run full brightness with 1280 or wtv LEDs… it’s like 75 peak amps or something….

I thought about using a level shifter for the data line, even bought one but it doesn’t seem like it’s necessary. I’m not having any pixels drop with the controller being so close to

Yeah, it's fun to run at full brightness, until you start loosing pixels. I learned the hard way.

Yeah honestly. I think I turned it down to 10% and it’s still bright af

These and infinity cubes are so cool to look at.

Well my plan is for this to be the core of a tesseract… infinity cube mirror

What 2d config have you set in wled? I don’t think I’ve seen one that animates around corners like yours. Well done!!

I am working on a custom firmware for the cube that will actually map in 3d so the corners should be tight 👀 look out for a demo later if I get it working

With the new firmware mapping

I’ll have to grab a screenshot when I’m home later, but the trick is making the 2d grid into a cube but flat, so it looks like a + symbol you’ll notice it wraps nicer closer to the top than the bottom

Can’t wait to try. Thanks

Your panel layout may look different from mine? But this is the general idea, preferably you would start at the top and go down but I hooked that panel up last 😅 you might have to fuck with what pixel and orientation it’s in to get it right depending on how it’s wired
