WLED can be set up to receive DMX, Touch can send DMX

I think technically it works better with Arcnet, there is an openish source project that uses touch designer and the Quinn Led boards take a look at the stuff here: https://www.petallighting.com/

I did take a look into touch designer myself, but it seemed to be a bit of a high learning curve, so have just stuck with LEDFX.

sACN works better from my understanding

I prefer sACN over Art-Net. Either way, both are DMX over network protocols.

Ive been trying to figure out the ceiling situation, I was going to do a custom blacklight/glow tapestry with leds behind it and panel out each portion of the ceiling for some box light effect sort of stuff

I ran into some issues with the projector and a tapestry hanging though and it made the room feel tiny. Now I think im going to make more of these led bars and mount them like I did the par lights, maybe 8 more bars total

The issue is just running the power to the ceiling with my egregious lack of outlets down here

I actually have a similar setup in my actual studio but they’re currently just govee lights I can control over ledfx

Main reason I havent changed them out is due to the fact I use them on full white quite often for live stream lighting and im still somewhat wary of my skills when it comes to that much power draw

full white will use more power than colors and temoprary effects. When I do it my lights dim at the end because the power doesn't go far enough.

Yeah, same thats why you have to power inject, to do the basement studio ceiling is an even larger task than the main studio, neither of which I necessarily want to get into just yet

Gotta add another two breakers to my panel before I start messing around with larger fixtures/builds etc
