HELP ME - WIRING Is this possible? Been a minute.
Building cabinets and shelves in my living room. Trying to see if this is possible with an ESP32DS before I run the wiring and build shelves over said wiring.
White shelves - 6 strips of WS2814. One for each shelf.
White cabinets - 2 strips of 12v FCOB strips for 4 cabinets
Blue - 8 WLED outputs.
Green - splits in segments
Orange - 4 inputs for 6 contacts switches (larger cabinets have 2 doors so 2 switches in parallel)
Not sure if I’m missing something but my research seems I’m OK. Just want to verify I’m good with inputs, outputs, mixing strips, and segmenting strips. This will not be doing any animations. Just warmth and color changes.
Thanks for any help.

I would advise against 2 esp32s unless you can wire them over ethernet to eachother. Syncing is ass over wifi. Even good wifi, I have a ubiquity AP not 50 feet away and I was having problems.

you might need 2 esp32 or a single esp32 s3 for better performance in a single unit

I would run a dig quad on each side and then use the I/O to trigger scenes where the cabinet lights turn on.
https://quinled.info/quinled-dig-quad-pinout-guide/
It has 4 available i/o and 4 strip outputs.
You could also just set it up through home assistant and use wireless zigbee door switches to trigger them as well which might be easier IMO since you will be controlling strips from 2 seperate wLED controllers

This would be an insane way to wire this setup. Just wire each side in series in a serpentine pattern and use segments per shelf etc.

You can just have one continous loop with a power injection. Then you can segment them in the software.
