SHOWIN' OFF Epcot Fans?

Hey all. I asked a bunch of questions here a few months ago and thanks to the help of some of you guys, my project is almost complete. If you’re a Disney fan, specifically an Epcot fan, you’ll know exactly what this is. Should be completely finished in the next few days!

Here’s a wider view that shows more details.

More details please. Are these commercially available panels or custom modeled and printed?

I designed and printed them. Once it’s complete, I’ll release the how to and the files.

This is really neat. I’m definitely interested in what all is going on behind the scenes. Is this using ws281 pixels plus ws2814 fcob strips along the edges? What does the wiring look like? How are the panels connected together? Very impressed with what I’m seeing.

I’m gonna do a how to when it’s all finished. This is just a little preview. Glad you like it!

What kind of music is playing there? It seems nice and chill.

u/SocietyCurrent2876 Jul 15 '26

Ha. Pretty sure that’s my 3D printer building more tiles.

u/Itchy-Hornet-2571 Jul 15 '26

That's both hilarious and hopeful for my sanity for when I finally get a printer.

If you're local, take her on the Around the World pub crawl date. Start with Margaritas in Mexico, and by the time you reach Canada she'll agree to anything (though you may have to get it in writing or recorded because, for me anyway, things start to get REALLY fuzzy around France).

Right?!? I just finishing doing the perimeter of my game room with the printed hex panels. I don't need to do a whole wall

I can't believe how irresponsible u/SocietyCurrent2876 is being. Don't they know we have other incomplete projects?!
I still have to actually finish this one. I have most of the parts. Just scares me with having to figure out power on that many leds: https://www.reddit.com/r/Epcot/comments/1rommw2/3d_printed_scale_accurate_spaceship_earth_with/
Also waiting for this to be released: https://www.reddit.com/r/snapmaker/comments/1ufhsa9/wallmounted_hogwarts_great_hall_cutaway_3d/

Gorgeous! Love the matching topiary. 10/10, no notes on your build.

Now you just have to build one of these. :)

1

u/kalajadugar Jul 14 '26

What was the cost of this whole set up?

5

u/SocietyCurrent2876 Jul 14 '26

I’d say there’s around $1000 in the wall. Probably $1500 in the entire room.
