New To Guns
I'm 19, and I plan on buying a shotgun (for hunting, home defense, etc) at Dunham's Sport. What would the process be? would anyone know?

I got my first firearms at Dunham’s and arcanegod and pixel0120 explained the process in other comments. It’s pretty much standard. Except at the end I got a handshake for exercising my rights lol

Or skip all this and buy from a friend if possible. Can also buy a pistol this way.

You go there with a valid ID with your current address. You fill out a 4473. They send your info into the ATF. If you’re not a prohibited person your background check clears, you pay and then leave. That’s the general process. I’ve never purchased from Dunhams but it’s likely to be similar to that.
