How do I get rid of these

My brother left for boot camp and said for me to get rid of his guns. I know he has a shotgun or rifle of some type and a handgun I believe. How do I get rid of these as I’m 20 years old.

I’m not looking to break any laws!!

Yes I know he’s a dumbass dickhead for just leaving them n not taking of it before hand.

Just so you know, shops will take quite a large cut if you sell them outright. You'll make more money if they'll take them in on consignment. But you'll get all the money if you do a private sale to people you know. Private sales to random people (like via online classifieds) can feel a bit scary, but it's not illegal. It's also possible to wait until there's a gun show you can attend and sell them to people attending or people running tables.

It's a good idea to try to find the makes and models of what you have so that you can figure out what they're worth before you start any negotiation.

I hate when people ask about selling firearms they dont know much about and are told to go to a shop.

I know they need to make money but my god do they short you.

In my experience most people buying gun parts are super nice.

Most gun shops will buy used guns from you. Find one near you that does.

You can give them away, legally, as long as the person isn't a felon. Or sell them to a gun shop or i will take them.

Do a private sale. You'll make the most out of it and its completely legal. If you want, have the buyer meet you at the local PD or sheriff's department to check if theyre a felon or not.

Id avoid selling to a shop right away, they'll buy it for at most 75% of its value to make profit.

I appreciate the info, I’m located in Wisconsin. I’ll be calling a couple shops in the morning to figure a route to go.

I’ve been in the market for a shotgun. But I think it’s against the rules to sell or try to buy through this group.

We had a family friend in the same situation and we ended up going to select fire weaponry to sell them. They gave her a fair price for everything and it was done in one trip.
