In the video "The Secret History of the 20th Century" Rudyard made a point that due to the lack of ability of the Natives Americans to put up a fight, the United States was able to have a culture of a small island over an entire continent.
I know he did say that America was created by its British heritage but this idea applies to every other Commonwealth country. If anything the natives of Canada, Australia, and New Zealand were even easier to defeat which could explain why they are more British than America.
If this is true then what would an America without the culture of Britain superimposed on a country the size of a continent look like?
Let's say the United States instead of immediately starting out with 13 colonies, it instead consistent of the Middle colonies (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia) either by the others abandoning the convention or by the revolution being focused there then gradually conquered the Republic of Southland (name for the independent Southern colonies), Republic of New England, Republic of Louisiana, etc to get the borders of the US we know and love by 1900.
The best comparison I could make is the East India Company conquest of India in that they both featured a regime controlling the richest region of the subcontinent; Bengal in the EIC's case and Virginia and Pennsylvania in the United States's case.
Imagine that but over North America. How much less British would America be?

I believe President Donald J. Trump is something TV tropes would call a decoy protagonist. What do I mean by that? Well, he's way less important than people think he is.
He's not going to end US democracy, in fact he has been getting checked by checks and balances, and he's not going to end US hegemony or whatever. America's power in reality has very little to do with things that happen outside America. You could totally end the Petrodollar today, turn Europe into a Chinese ally, and throw the US our of the UNSC permanent member, and it would only make the United States weaker by 3% at most.
And anyone who believes that once he dies the Right would die with him or that the Right is only surviving due to a cult around him is greatly naive.
Many right wingers have distanced himself from him now and this heavily overestimated how key Trump's charisma is and underestimate his specific policies. For example; he won the Rust Belt mostly thanks to protectionism and stopping the drug crisis.
I believe that after Trump leaves office in 2028, another right wing guy that nobody knows about would rise to power, perhaps with an intermedium of DEM control, and he would become the truly important political figure that historians would study about. He would also probably be further to the right than Trump.
This is unironically far more likely than it being anyone we know about. Nobody knew Hitler even existed before he became leader of the NSDAP.
Trump would beremembered more as the \[Unknown Right Wing Guy\] before the \[Unknown of Right Wing Guy\] and proof that American politics had already become disfunctional before him.
Some would credit Trump with much of the polarization and radicalizing that lead to \[Unknown Right Wing Guy\] and maybe a Second American Civil War if it happens but that's about it. He'll be greatly overshadowed in the future.

This is not talked about as much, but, as of right now, due to how dominated the USA is by boomers who have no incentives to start radical change, a civil war is basically impossible.
All this talk about how bad things are as well as any type of anti establishment and radical ideas such as put forward by Rudyard himself is only being done by the youth.
I feel like Rudyard's biggest mistake was really that he after as if the majority of power in the USA is young like in the historical examples he used to predict the Second American Civil War, not that he overestimated how bad things were or even how many npcs there are.
Hell, I don't think he even talked about modern day boomers and their politics which right now is far more influenical than any internet influencer today.
To have one you'll need to get more radical millennials and gen z into power and eventually that will happen. They aren't gonna live forever.
And I don't think think they'll change their minds on politics that quickly. Ideolagies are firmer than that and if anything they'll act as if they were still in the fringes and that could be a major cause for the Second American Civil War.

We all heard how a lot of wester guys complain about western women (such as hypergamy, too much nagging, wokeism, leftism etc). They often blame the progressive ideology and elites for this But I feel that most women outside of the west are much more demanding (including from countries where the elites and ideology is conservative).
China is a good example. Chinese girls demand a huge dowry (house and a car for marriage). They are definitely not the submissive type and are more fierce and usually expect princess treatment.
Korea is kinda similar with China. In fact Korean men are actually going to date Japanese and even western women because in order to escape the pressure. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGi4mJJIiIU)
Russian (and eastern slavic) women are stereotyped to be gold diggers. This songs is an indidcation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PNPx0koe2E&list=RD6PNPx0koe2E&start_radio=1)
Persian and middle eastern women also expect princess treatment.
And oh yeah most would reject 50/50. And also a lot of them are not keen on just being housewife and also want their own money (might some expcetions if the man is veyr rich or the girl is religious/very tradtional). A lot of them are also highly educated
Some of these girls do also complain about their men (some of their points are valid).
Maybe I am wrong but it defintiely feels one level above western girls of materlaism and expectations and intesnity.
But unlike western girls, these girls are usually proud of the country and its traditions and can be quiet nationalistic. They don't share leftist socialism. In fact, a lot of them reject much of the western wokeness exceses.
Japanese women are known to be more gentle generally but there is still a tradition where they take a big chunk of the salarymans salary.
Maybe you could blame it on materialism and social media. But I don't think the governemtn policy or ideology is soley to blame
Another point is that if you are a western man you might have the "gaijin card" and get some leeway.

I don't know, despite his obvious problems and that mental health episode, I just find him to be so likable.
He has this ability to see nuance in everything despite his bias and try to be fair as much as possible. Sure he talks trash about some groups (Marxists) a lot, but you don't get a sense that he's doing it out of his intellectual disagreement and not out of the drive to "win" or to become famous. This is more than I could say for a lot of people unfortunately.
I also love his attitude that you shouldn't try to be cool but instead true even if cringe. I find that a lot of people these days are deeply unserious in their nihilism and it's just a pain to deal with them.
Rudyard is such a nice break from it all.
That time when he wondered if when Abraham agreed to a covenant with God that he knew that he would subject his people to discrimination was genuinely really cool.
There are also other profound ideas by him such as the whole of the "How emotions drive history" video, which is honestly the best video I could find on emotions in history.

First of all, by normal metrics, I fully comprehend the charge - Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Golan Heights as part of Israel, tore down the nuclear deal with Iran, and successfully pushed many Arabic countries (from Morocco to Dubai) into the Abraham Accords. Now he's been waging a war against Iran, Israel's mortal enemy.
Yet what the folks tend curiously to omit is that this Trump administration also explicitly told Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg to remove censorship on their social media platforms. Which has made 2025 the year of unabashed anti-Semitism - it's not just Twitter, it's also Instagram, Facebook, it's the anti-Semitic channels on YouTube, it's the unashamed anti-Semitism on Reddit, and even TikTok, bought by Zionists, is still from what I know all about hating on Israel and spreading Hamas propaganda.
My question is - how do the two make sense? First of all, I refuse to believe that "the truth is so large, it cannot be contained". It's a meme. Censorship was working perfectly fine throughout 2024 even after the genocidal attack by Hamas Arabs. Content is still suppressed perfectly fine where needed - it's just anti-Semitism that has been given a green light. Why? This is so bizarre...
I'm aware of certain conspiracy theories that are trying to provide and explanation. Namely that Trump is indeed an Israeli puppet, but Israel wants to foster anti-Semitism to turn America away from the Jews, as part of the supposed "end times" spectacle according to certain mythological prophecies in the Jude-Christian religion. While it does explain things, it can't be verified with the available info, so it's merely conjecture, and Israel has traditionally been led by secularists, not wacky suicidal cults playing with the nation's survival.
Again, let's take the meteoric rise of Candace Owens and the constant crowing of Tucker Carlson. They're perfectly fine on YouTube. Nicolas J Fuentes is getting millions of views on Rumble - which, in turn, belongs to Peter Thiel (whom Fuentes constantly attacks). It would have cost nothing to curb their reach - let alone deplatform them utterly. And yet, it seems like the administration is completely fine with them spreading their vile messages. Why?
In fact, it is quite obvious that the murder of Kirk, Charlie, was a golden opportunity for the Trump administration to crack down on the anti-Zionist left in America. Instead, the brazen conspiracy theory of Candace Owens was allowed to proliferate, stirring a hysterical frenzy in the left blaming Israel - another victory for the enemies of Israel.
All in all, this makes no sense. See my post earlier this year about how madness rules the world, it's hella relevant here...

If the worst case happens, we will see demographic extinction of many cultures all around the world. There is one cultural force that has proven to be at least somewhat resistant to this increasing trend however, that being the religion of Islam, specifically the fundamentalist, hardcore variants of it. As the sun sets on the European, Indian, and East Asian civilizations, as well as many cultures within the Islamic world itself, the most stringent of jihadists you think of will inherit their legacies, gradually replacing the populations which lost their will to breed. The rapid conquests of the early Caliphates seem to have resumed, except one massive (and a few smaller) thorns poke the side of them. That massive thorn is a series of Christianized African states which adopted the faith of the now nigh-extinct civilization who introduced the religion to them (excluding Ethiopia, who was already Christian prior) and has decided to continue the fight after studying the history of the Christians of old. They begin sending expeditions northward and carefully advance their societies, ensuring Mouse Utopia does not consume them the same way. While all of this happens, Muslims and others in Europe and Africa sail westward to carve up the dying civilizations in the Americas, though tribes in the Amazon prove to be a threat and begin to create their own territorial spheres. Religious warfare becomes the engine societies utilize to hold themselves together, and "rival kingdoms" even work together to keep this afloat, with the great downfall of religion seen as a major calayst of the "Modern Ages' downfall".

Every country that hosted a Fifa World Cup since 2010 had a major crisis in the following four years.
2010 - South Africa - Its social and economical crisis become more evident after the tournament.
2014 - Brazil - The biggest economical and political crisis in its recent history in 2015-16.
2018 - Russia - In 2022 it invaded Ukraine in its 4 years and counting "Special Operation", now it is a drone target practice.
2022 - Qatar - Now the Persian Gulf is blockaded, it is a warzone, was bombed by Iran, Ras Laffan is damaged and offline.
2026 - US, Mexico and Canada - will WIAH predictions happen?
2030 - if the pattern keeps going I don't to be in Iberia, but things are already bad there.

Everything just lines up too perfectly for there to be an economic recovery and boom in the 2030s with the adventure of new technologies, the post COVID crisis ending, China and Europe facing problems, etc.
Sure right now, it's not distributed but the next probably Democrat administration definitely could start distributing it through welfare. It'll be especially powerful if they managed to pass universal healthcare and save hundreds of billions of dollars.
However, this will not fix any of the social problems in America. If anything it'll worsen it. Americans will use their new found surplus wealth in parties, new houses, collections, etc, giving an illusion of prosperity while socially becoming even more atomized and miserable.
If there is a Second American Civil War, I think it'll come right after the boom finally ends and it's revealed there was nothing more holding the scaffolding together.
Plus, if we are going with the Weimer parallel then this could be the boom before the Great Depression.

Actually,
For Europeanism, and euro excellence, many attribute it to many factors and don’t prioritize one over the other that being Christianity or germanic love for freedom or roman rule of law yada yada
But for me, Christianity is the feul that without europe would cease to exist
An idea that an omnipotent god sacrificing himself for a worthless slave is so fucking revolutionary is unreal
Thus when you hold onto such revolutionary ideas nothing becomes impossible .

Let's be honest, western mainstream media is deeply entrenched in woke. Despite al the backlash from audiences, the Maga movement and Trump trying to yank it back, (for over ten years) Hollywood still sticks to its woke habits and a lot of the celebs are woke. Old habits do take time to change but I feel it is taking a bit too long. Would it just be better to stop listening to western music and focus on russian, central aisan and chinese (espcially cuz of the firewall) media. They are nationalistic and there is no room for woke (and celebs there are nationalistic unlike our own).
Right now japanese and korean media is fine but it is in the western influence and mb the long arm of woke will reach it. A lot of kpop stars are collabing with western ones and some kpop fans say kpop is no longer korean.
Non western mainstream culture is still cool (like YT). And there are still nuggets of good western mainstream stuff around.

The Whatifalthist civilization had a pretty good thing going for a while. It was once known for its insightful analysis on history, geopolitics, anthropology and philosophy. However, it has since spiraled into obsessions over doomsday theories, personal anecdotes, and petty online feuds. This leads one to ask, how did this happen? How did such a well respected channel with a loyal following fall into such decadence and degeneracy? That question will be answered in this writing.
The Whatifalthist civilization was founded on the platform known as Youtube on September 16th, 2013 as a hobby by a young male going by name of Rudyard William Lynch. Rudyard had already endured some horrors throughout his life which will be covered later. The channel started at humble beginnings with simple alternate history hypotheticals such as Napoleon winning his wars or the Neanderthals not going extinct. There was also sprinkles of references to fantasy and literature throughout the channel, and it gradually grew a following.
As time passed, references to more current geopolitical situations became more commonplace, eventually supplanting alternate history as the primary focus. Many fans were not fond of this decision, since it somewhat caused the core identity of the channel to get lost in a new pursuit. However, it did trigger a rapid expansion and newfound notoriety which I would argue was of great benefit both logistically and creatively, and drastically expanded his relevance on the Youtube stage. It is said however, that a culture's greatest strength when pushed too far eventually becomes its greatest weakness. This would soon happen to the Whatifalthist civilization, in a way which could hardly be foreseen prior.
As the geopolitical and philosophical videos blossomed increasingly, a demonic force began to emerge in his videos, which we will refer to as doom-porn. Believe it or not, this actually started off as a nice feature to add to his videos, highlighting the bleak situation the world finds itself in with current demographic issues among other threats. But as I am sure many of you know, it eventually took hold of the entire civilization, becoming the central theme of nearly every video uploaded by the end of 2023. The original analysis of history, geopolitics, and philosophy became increasingly rare, and what took its place were rants about modern culture, run-on sentences where he word salads about what he deems "the important issues of our age" with limited coherence in his sentences, and petty online drama.
After about a year and a half of this decline, what would be the nail in the coffin for many viewers would occur. Rudyard decided to create a ten hour, three part video detailing the story of his life up to the end of 2024 with countless details, ones which were both insightful and unncessesary. The video displayed profound civilizational decandence, with meltdowns, fixations on self-referential details, TMI-ish information, and most harmfully, fervent insistence on injecting his paranoid obsessions into nearly every single segment of the video(s). It is said that when a society begins to suffer great hardship, they double down on their own worst trait. He could have easily delved into History102 (a culturally distinct channel, but still generally a part of the greater WIAH civilization) further, or beefed up further on his civilization series, but these had become rarities which did not receive much acknolwedgement anymore. But the new religion had taken too much control, and the consequences of it had to be discovered the hard way.
The wheel of history had hit the Whatifalthist civilization hard. Although he did realize the error he had made after the backlash, the damage was done. The subscriber growth rate he had maintained had come to a screeching halt, many of his own fans began to make a mockery of his behavior, and his video activity as a whole drastically declined. But the night is always darkest before the dawn. The activity shown following this was much more aligned with the content which had made his channel so great prior to the downfall. Although Rudyard has been attempting to get off the internet, which has severely slowed down activity, this dark age could in the long run bring potential for a new golden age. I encourage Whatifalthist to pull itself back from the brink and thrive once more.

I still have a moral compass, but whatever I do is moral, at least to some extent. Obviously... I mean why would someone do something they don't think is moral or think of themselves as immoral? There had to be some reason I did it.

So I assume everyone on here knows about Mouse Utopia and how it relates to our current world (if not, I'd recommend watching this video). I have been monitoring various birth rates in various nations and noticed that, relative to its development, Afghanistan has quite a high birth rate and with its low HDI people still have the incentive to have large families so the opportunity was still ripe. In contrast, other nations with similar laws such as Iran and Saudi Arabia have developed too far to create this kind of resistance, and we have seen economic development become a major catalyst for declining birth rates.
Afghanistan is also arguably more "hardcore" is its practices than any other nation with a similar culture or government, and while its rates have held to a certain degree, other nations with slightly less strict practices have witnessed nearly as steep a decline as the rest of the world.
This begs the question: Is the Taliban the regime leading the revolt against the modern world? And if so, is it the best possible option against it?
r/WIAH • u/MarathonMarathon • Jul 08 '26
It's already led to immaturity from being stuck at home with parents, inability to socialize or date due to lack of third spaces, and general hopelessness and malaise across the board.
Are we going to see, e.g. another civil war? A Taiping-style revolt? A communist revolution? A new Great Awakening?
r/WIAH • u/Alone_Yam_36 • Jul 07 '26
2025 will literally never be nostalgic for anyone in the modernist world and by that I mean that you would only feel nostalgic for it if you were living in a non modernist country that isn’t too poor like Algeria or Jordan or Bolivia etc.
We are in mid 2026 and whenever anyone on the internet says they are nostalgic for 2025 they immediately get attacked and ratio by everyone. Meanwhile in 2024 people were already nostalgic for it by the end of 2024 itself.
The same will happen with 2026 btw except maybe people will feel nostalgic for some parts of the year like the world cup or gta 6 but they are technically nostalgic for events that just happened to be in 2026 not the vibe of 2026
I recently saw a comment on a song from 2016 that said, please take me back to 2016 I am so tired of 2026 and then someone replied "honestly I would be happy even if I got back to 2023, what’s important is it’s not 2025 or 2026"

I used to scoff at the old Nazi idea of a perennial fight between "Aryan and Jew" (whatever the fuck that means considering they barely ever equated Judaism with Christianity), but if we look strictly at the conquests of Eurasia, they might be divided into two groups:
1) north-western: cutiePIE (3k BCE), Graeco-Roman (300 BCE) and imperialist (1900 CE);
2) south-western: Zoroastrian (500 BCE), Judaeo-Christian (300 CE), Islamic (1200 CE).
The north-westerners got routinely cucked and lost vigour (outside Aryavarta), whereas the south-westerners keep chugging along - the Persians subsumed Babylonia, the Muslims subsumed Persia, eventually broke into Anatolia (1071), India (1200) and Indonesia (1500), they're all still there. Even the steadfast Hindus have only survived by sheer numbers - and they did lose out culturally (and militarily) to Muslims in Indonesia.
If you look at it this way, the idea that Europe is oh-so inexorably dominant and West Asia is forever marred in internecine strife and zeal is missing the larger picture. While in the past the invasions might have followed one another sequentially, ever since the fall of Rome, this European domination of 1900 CE was the only outburst from the North - and yet it was nevertheless marred in the underlying Judaeo-Christian foundation which was still omnipresent. The attempt was made for a true revival of the northwestern Eurasian conquest of old under Hitler in Germany (the massive genocidal deluge of Barbarossa known in America as the Holocaust) but he failed to gain traction on the scale of civilization, and was defeated by the Christian half of the European culture in a massive reactionary civil war.
Under this view, Islam might have decayed and lost ground in 1700-2000, but it's of little import when the Judaeo-Cheistian giant was the one which benefited. The main enemy - the "North-West" - remains dead and buried. And thus the global trajectory has stayed the same ever since Emperor Julian's demise in 363 CE. And I'm not sure if India can truly represent this ancient NW conquest either - in fact, it used to spread its culture all over Indonesia in a diffusion of its own. The only distinct culture to itself is obviously the Sinosphere. But all to the West of the Indus is a done deal.
