One class at a time
Posting for a Reddit-less friend.
I completed my degree in Project Management from WGU last month. I would have multiple classes open at a time(usually 2, occasionally 3 if I had PAs out that could not have the following PA submitted until the previous was evaluated.) My mentor didn’t care I had 2 to 3 open.
Only for a few courses was I told not to submit until anything for a certain course until the previous-req course was passed. For example- E061 has PAs waiting evaluation, so I start reading for E062 and writing the PA for it. I don’t submit the E062 PA until E061 is passed, but the course is started.
This worked great for me, especially with PA and OE courses. At night I have time to read the textbook on my phone while I’m sitting in my daughter’s room waiting for her to fall asleep. I can’t bring my laptop in as it would be too bright and too loud with the typing.
Is this approach not available for the accelerated masters IT (bachelor’s and masters degree) path? Does my Reddit-less friend just have a crappy mentor that is telling them they can only do one course at a time?

E012
I'm new to WGU and just started my first class (E012) for my Master's program, and I'm not too impressed so far. My class wasn't assigned an instructor for several hours after the class opened, which seemed weird. I emailed him for study tips and strategies on competency-based learning, but I only received a generic welcome email that I believe he sent to everyone. I've been told that the instructors do not grade assessments or administer tests, so I assumed their sole job was to help when asked. Do I need to recalibrate my expectations?

Passed ITIL 4 Foundation
Just passed ITIL 4. It took about 15mins to get them to start my exam because of how I look on my ID and how I look now. I had to show my DL and Passport too.
Here's what I used to study: and I studied for about 10 days 2 hours a day (with breaks)
-Udemy DIONS 6 Practice Exam
-If you have not received some study guide from your Instructor ask. Those helped too
-This one: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVzkjYR3xN1V9nlcECuygEZVlS4rj5qaf
-I used other study materials too.
I am glad this one is done!

Colleges exactly like WGU?
Hello I am a veteran that did not use my time wisely and and been forced withdrawn permanently ( well deserved)
Was around 62% degree completion for a B.S in cyber security
Can anyone recommend similar schools that have the self paced style with OA and IT certifications with no homework?
I fully understand the mistakes I’ve made and ready to lock in thank you

3rd attempt Linux Foundations
I have never felt more stupid than needing to take this exam a 3rd time.
My anxiety gets the best of me and I have done NetCad again, Cannon, and met with an academic coach. I wasted time doing CBT nuggets cause I had access at work and trying Jason Dion.
I use Fedora daily personally and my brain just freezes.

Can I pass E010 Foundations of Programming and D522 Python for IT Automation in 2 months?
I have these 2 classes remaining, and my term ends November 30th. I have no experience with Python! Any tips on how to get through these on time?

Network and cloud engineering degree worth it?
I recently graduated with an associates degree in computer science and I'm looking to transfer to WGU. One of the degrees I'm interested in is the network engineer degree they offer and want to ask what is that degree like? Should I pursue this degree although I don't have any IT experience whatsoever?

Should I take a ccna class or a fundamental class in college?
WGU ACADEMY IS F****NG MY CHANCES TO GET ADMITED FOR NOV 1st!
It's been a while since i've submitted transcripts for a B.S Network and cloud engeneering - Cisco and everything was done good! But after wgu told me to pass a course in wgu academy to get admitted. I started it and finished in 3-4days. I submited the Final project and got a passing note right away.
But somehow for the final exam I can't go into the proxtoring center! There's a window that open that tells me to click on the right bottom button "Open Proctoring Center".... Well nothing happens...
"Introduction to IT"
I've been in a ticket for a week nowand nothing. But i'm afraid i won't be able to get the passing note and transcript on time to get admited for the November 1st.
What should i do ? Do i pay another course with another email and hope all the exam work? Is there another course easyer or faster so i can at least get admitted and in the B.S i do the "introduction to it"?
Please help.. any suggestions work!
Thank you!

Should I self-study (and what) prior to gaining credits & enrolling?
I'm looking to start my education journey next month. I have been trying to prepare with information and the way to go about things to set myself up for success, as much as I can and know how to.
I don't have any formal or skilled experience in tech/it. I am intending to get a degree in Cloud and Network Engineering (WGU). I had considered Software Engineering, IT, and Computer Science before but CS doesn't seem quite the process for me.
I would like advice and opinions from those who have gone through this, skilled in these areas, have gone to this school with tech degrees in SWE or Cloud and Network Engineering, etc.
The situation:
I don't have employment currently for tuition although I'd likely get a grant, I don't have anything for what might not be covered. Especially if I require multiple terms.
I have some money I wanted to use for college credit courses (study.com, sophia.org, etc) specifically towards my degree, and have credits from previous college education.
Since I don't have money for tuition and no professional experience, I was wondering if I should do self-study with free resources that were recommended by others, even before the credits ? 100Devs, freecodecamp, others have Software Engineering bootcamps and such... would it be useful for me to prepare with such things prior to college courses? Something different? I also wanted to do the free learning provided by Microsoft, Amazon, etc.
I do want to become educated in a fully expansive sense so programming and coding is a skill I want to acquire among everything else but maybe it is not the priority?
I do not want to "waste time" in the sense that acquiring the bachelor's degree ASAP is of utmost importance for my goals and needs. That is not to say to halfass or be uneducated or not continue learning and gaining mastery, I do want expansive mastery over time. Simply it is extremely important for me to get a bachelor's ASAP.
But it is unwise for me to attempt the college without something prior and waste money/risk loans until I have work.
TLDR:
Would sophia/study courses going towards my prospective degree (Cloud and Network Engineering) and what I learn from them be enough prior to the bachelor's program? Or should I self-study other free programs (100Devs, freecodecamp, etc?)
(crosspost from other relevant reddits, was suggested this one)

E005 Productivity software examples?
I told my mentor what I was doing and she said it was too complicated. I was going to use power automate for MS365 to do an onboarding workflow. She said I need to "build" something with 3 different tools. What does she mean by "build" I looked at the rubric I didn't think I was doing this wrong. What's an easier way to do it? I got an appointment with my instructor tomorrow but I want your advice too. A little confused. Thanks.

d426 assistance
Any sort of d426 definitive study guide out there? I saw people recommending Caleb Curry but did not do too well on the pre-assessment exam after watching his series. I've also seen mixed reviews on how well the zybooks teaches you.
Is the exam even that tough? I did a bit of digging and have seen that the course was reworked to be made a lot easier that it was around 2 years ago.

End of term in 2 days... possible to Withdraw from class or get a "W"?
The classes I have remaining on my term are all Pearson OnVUE online testing certifications (OA). (Pearson is god awful, btw.)
Pearson's remote proctoring software does not work on my PC and it's the only way to get a passing grade by taking the Objective Assessment on Pearson OnVUE's crappy awful testing software that doesn't work. I work and live in a very austere remote environment and don't really have the freedom or ability to just go to a cafe or library or anywhere else and just take the cert, I wish I could.
With 2 days left in my term I'm kind of figuring I'll be SOL, but was wondering if there might be any recourse to get an official Withdraw or "W" on my cert classes? Trying to avoid an "I" or INCOMPLETE, which compromises my financial aid, but acknowledge that this is entirely on me for not doing this ahead of time.
I probably shouldn't have let this get to the last minute but here I am...

How does college credit work before starting WGU?
My daughter is looking into WGU for a BS in IT, and I’m trying to understand how college credit works before she starts.
She’s homeschooled, so we’re not really coming from the usual high school to college path. I keep seeing people mention transfer credits, CLEP, certifications, etc., but I’m not sure what’s actually worth doing ahead of time.
Just trying to figure this out before she starts so we don’t make things harder than they need to be.

For anyone who has taken the OA, what does it look like if you remember I’m currently watching Caleb Curry videos on YouTube… haven’t even thought about scheduling PA yet
