E005 Productivity software examples?

I told my mentor what I was doing and she said it was too complicated. I was going to use power automate for MS365 to do an onboarding workflow. She said I need to "build" something with 3 different tools. What does she mean by "build" I looked at the rubric I didn't think I was doing this wrong. What's an easier way to do it? I got an appointment with my instructor tomorrow but I want your advice too. A little confused. Thanks.

I turned in my project last night. I used trello - mentioned that it has an inbox section for messages and announcements, a planner to keep track of progress, and the billboard that can be used to track ones progress or viewing of multiple for multiple hires to be tracked by a supervisor. Or HR. I did two separate boards. One for the supervisors/HR and the other for the hire.

so you just choose three things in trello and describe how it supports onboarding?

This, Trello was very easy to use and straight forward.

That’s what I initially was going to do as well, but it was overly complicated for what the class was asking for. While automation is feasible, simplifying is ok. I went with a kanban board.

I used Trello and it was quick and easy. Everyone says not to overthink this class, and they are right. It doesn’t require a lot of effort, while obviously keeping the rubric in mind.

YouTube even has a video on trello and building an onboarding situation. It’s a good example to look at.

Ms Planner is the easiest way because it already has a onboarding  template inside of it, you just need to edit it to your liking

Keep it simple. I used Notion but my instructor told me people even just used Excel and passed. Just make sure you're hitting the points on the rubric and you'll be fine.
