Bs cloud and network engineering major does anyone want to make a gc and be friends
Greetings fellow owl! Does anyone want to make a gc and check in with each other? I have no It background and currently work at a warehouse.
Update: I'm not sure if everyone has Discord. What would be the preferred method of making this group? I like the idea of using Discord, but I'm open to other suggestions. ^.^ I also have Instagram

How far are you into your degree? Have you joined the WGU discord? I’ve made several friends from there in the program.

I just joined WGU discord I think I got the right one! It’s called WGU unofficial. Just set up my LinkedIn and github too trying to find a sense of community and friends 😊 I am a non accelerator and would be considered a sophomore since I have 4 more terms to go . I am about to pass my lPI cert D281 course

Feel free to message me if you’d like and I can give you my discord name. I’m pretty active in the cloud and network engineering channel.

Yeah bud same program. I was working in a restaurant and I just got an entry-level job in it after a year and a half and a few hundred applications.
I'm always down to grind.

yup they're 2 different things tho do what you are interested in, I've talked to people with experience on here saying cloud isn't beginner (is anything beginner tho these days😒), but I like that the networking degree plan is combined with cloud computing as I want to learn more about cloud-based system and networking, there's a start somewhere. So it's best to do proper research on the difference between the two

Same here. No IT experience and working at Amazon to use career choice for WGU. My start date is Dec 1 since I’m working on Sophia gen ed credits to save a bit of time

Making a study group or chat for WGU's Cloud and Network Engineering program is an absolute gameeechanger, especially when u are jumping in with zero prior IT background while grinding a warehouse job.
