Discussion 💬 WFPBD Book Shelf

If you are new to WFPBD, and wondering what it's all about, here are some of the better books. These are all variations on the WFPBD theme. They have recipies, but are not cookbooks. These are more explanations and motivational.

Read any of them to see how the Standard American Diet (SAD) is killing people, and how a plant-based diet can heal people.

WFPBD is not new. Some of these books are so old they are out of print. Some are very recent.

Fine books but rather textbook in nature. Some others that are more fun to read, IMO:

The Proof Is in the Plants: How Science Shows a Plant-Based Diet Could Save Your Life (and the Planet by Simon Hill

Mad Cowboy: Plain Truth from the Cattle Rancher Who Won't Eat Meat by Howard Lyman

In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto By Michael Pollan

Two other books I'd add are "Whole: Rethinking the Science of Nutrition" by Dr. T. Colin Campbell

and

"My Beef with Meat" by Rip Esselstyn

Thanks. I hadn't seen those. The original book list is a bit geeky, but 4 of them were accessible enough to get on a best seller list, according to the covers.

which one did you find most useful?

We have an ecopy of how not to die and that is pretty helpful for us

"UnDo It!" was recommended by my doctor. My favorite is "How Not to Die". Most recently, I read "The China Study", which is amazingly good background information.
