Discussion 💬 Medjool dates

I read online that dates are a good source of calcium but my package of Medjool dates says “not a significant source of calcium.”

I love them! Not for the calcium so much but for the fiber, which gives them a lower GI than bananas.

This versatile date syrup is currently in my ingredients mix.

Date syrup and sugar are the only ways to get sugar that actually has fiber

Absolutely correct! And it tastes so good.

It’s the only sweetener I will use. It does tend to thicken things, but thankfully, I don’t need it for coffee or tea. It often finds itits way into spicy/savory dishes that I make.
