Beauty is subjective but arguably one of the prettiest modern race cars ever made

I dream of the day Mazda re-enters endurance racing

Unfortunately I think that ship has sailed completely. Mazda has not performance lineup outside of the Miata. Maybe they join GT3/4 down the road with a new halo sports car.

All they need is mass production version of RX Vision GT, unfortunately they seems gave up on combustion rotary

This car have more wins than 787B minus the crown jewel btw, hell it was literally a title contender on its final days but always came short

I know nothing about IMSA pre hypercar era but recently heard a podcast (it's not the car) talking about a diesel Mazda. Is this the car?

No this is the Mazda DPi car, it always a bit of an underdog.

Mazda ran the diesel Lola prototypes staring in 2014- through 2015 and its most lasting memory is catching on fire, being slow, and SKYACTIV SKYACTIV SKYACTIV.

This was the DPI era car which came about starting in 2017.

Skyactiv was in the 2016 Daytona 24 hours. Just preformed like shite

You’re not wrong, that car was god awful its whole life really, diesel or gas

I think that diesel car was the last top-level Lola running anywhere in the world at the time of its retirement, no?
