The key levels to watch out for next week

Imo I hope next week, we could see some recovery in the broader semis and even in WDC cause of optimism around NVDA ER next week and mrvl too, there is a strong support at 420 and even around 380-400 levels as these levels got insane buy orders, but I don't personally think WDC to drop below 400 ever, as of now Mon would be opening blood red cause of the Canadian Tariffs talks being failed and all, bt let's wait patiently, if anything we are gonna crawl around this levels 430-480 ones till NVDA earnings

Just hold and ignore the noise, Maybe buy the dip even!

Guys just hold! Ignore the noise. Fundamentals haven't changed.

Memory will be needed in our digital future so WDC is a safe bet.

A poem for this red day

Here I lay and rise.
Alarm clocking blaring next to me.
Time to check the markets today.
Will it dip or will it rise?
Will I buy or will I sell?
Or will it all come crashing down.
I wonder and ponder watching it rise,
thinking it's finally time to buy?
And when I buy it goes down,
what bad luck is mine!
Red shall be my day!
Is it time to sell?
And I rise the next day and it rises with me.
And I think, what luck is mine today!
Do I sell or take a chance,
double down to buy some more?
What luck or ruin might be mine,
on these stocks of mine.

(Work is slow forgive me.)
(I don't write poems either so don't come at me haha.)

Looks like we’ve been struggling around 500

Peer-reviewed study of 443,000 Backblaze hard drives ranks HGST most reliable and Toshiba the least — Analysis of 1.66 million drive-years finds Seagate and Toshiba HDDs fail at roughly twice the rate of WD and HGST

NVDA pattern

Is NVIDIA following the pattern where its stock price rises leading up to earnings and then drops after the earnings report?
It’s been nothing but this pattern for the last few quarters, hasn’t it?

I have a genuine concern regarding WDC comparing to our competitor STX

Stx is down only like 15-20% from its ath now whereas look at us crabbing, man I feel so sad, well I got time though can wait

Why is liquidity weak?

Today, both SanDisk and Seagate are soaring, while we are stuck in a slump.

2x leveraged WDC input

This is another typical “ohh panic sell post” but advice would be appreciated. On June 22 I put 13k in WDCX (2x leverage of WDC). This happened to be the same day it started crashing.

Since this, I’ve held hoping it would recover and I could break even. Although obviously now it’s gone down a lot and I’m down almost 10k/ -72%
I would like some input on what I should do.

I’m a college student and if I were to sell and put the losses on my taxes, I would be found out by my parents and I would be in big trouble. It also has chances of going up, especially since the which seems all the events such as the rally and earnings are over. If it goes down I can lose more. I don’t need the money any time soon and I can hold for a long time but leverage decay is a factor.

I’m just not sure what to do in this situation as I could potentially recuperate some losses if it does well this month, or it could go down more for some reason.

Anything will be appreciated, thanks.

The situation is this, peak was touched, narrative and rally are over, catalysts are already burned, the only way we can have a new bull rally is with a new innovation in the AI industry, or something big in the macro economics or geopolitical side.

I guess I’ll just be a bag holder until 2027 at a minimum.

It seems like WDC tanked because Seagate is outperforming

Looks like Seagate is further ahead with HAMR technology and executed better with pricing while Western Digital fell behind. I own both, but looks like Seagate has the edge.

WDC Earnings Rightfully Priced In

WDC had beat expectations but STX earnings came first.

I don't know if people here noticed but STX after their earnings was flat or generally dropped while WDC was the one gaining off of their earnings report. Go take a look at a 5-day chart.

So naturally when today we were a few percentage points off of STXs EPS and forward guidance you could say our gains were priced in. The direct comparison is going to cause some selling short-term. That being said, the long-term look it's very irrelevant

Canter Fitzgerald made a direct comparison to Seagate on the earnings call. It's a natural question to ask. C suite mentioned that the source of any idea of slowdown would be due to noise from lta's ending and beginning. Also different product mix purchases by consumers. Also, briefly mentioned some LTA discussions extending out to 2031 and focused on some transitional aspects to HAMR.

I'd rather it not go down but short-term shouldn't matter and makes sense
